Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.78/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Genuinely the worst voice acting I've ever heard, to the point where it dampens the experience. Will probably pick it up again at some point, but with the VA off.
The game oozes with charm, music is great and it is such a gorgeous game, it is the perfect remake of how you may remember an old game, the one big con about it is that it is super easy which is unfortunate because it is a lot of fun when you are dodging attacks left and right but at the point the enemies start to actually use attacks you become way too strong and finish fights in no time, at the very least the bosses have some engaging mechanics and can take a beating, hard basically feels like a regular easy game on normal so don't even bother playing on normal and easy. You guys know the rules, if a character is voiced by Morohoshi Sumire then she will be best girl, Charlotte is too precious.
I am not a long running fan of this series so this was honestly a new take. First impression, Optimization, I don't think I ran into any issues with it, I actually remember thinking the game runs pretty smooth. Story, different stories of different characters that will all merge to a point near the end and i think there's a level of completion that is increased per ending. So, each ending is a little different until you get a "final"? I can't remember it didn't stick. It just wasn't amazing. Something something tree. Something something fairy. Music was ok, nothing to write home about, i really love in games when the beat goes hard and you hear the lyrics come in to send the hype levels up. I don't think anything like that happened in this game. but i also don't think there was anything too "Out of place" So, Basic soundtrack fitting the game and areas. Voice acting ... ... ... If you told me this was the English Va's first voice acting gig. I would believe you. One character in particular, Charlotte, just going to say it. I hate her voice. I know the VA was probably told something along the lines of ... Idk ... "Sound like a child" but ... she's the freaking white mage too so it was almost mandatory to have her in the party later. TLDR: Fun gameplay, Decent Class system, Bad English Voice Acting, Maybe watch some more reviews, I hate giving games a thumbs down but man this one just barely gets a passing grade.
I was reluctant to buy this game. The price felt very high for a remake even with all graphics redone from scratch. I eventually bought it at a slight discount and I was not disappointed. The original game was highly anticipated but a lot of us had to wait until 1999 to play it as SquareSoft originally thought the game was too good for the west. It does have a lot of flaws: * The story is very basic * The world is not very open. * Only the early game has some difficulty to it. * Some of the animations just don't work in 3d. Sometimes things just suddenly happen in a cut scene and I have a strong feeling that they just couldn't redo it in 3d. That being said: * The presentation is amazing. The graphics are true to the original art style. * No grinding needed. This means you will be slightly overleveled as the game goes on but I preferred it over grinding. It might just be a nostalgic kick that makes me like it.... but it is a good nostalgic feeling.

Trials of mana is a fun game, if you appropriately set your expectations. The voice acting in English is atrocious. The writing is terrible. The story is boring, cheesy and cliched. The world is flat as almost all background NPCs offer minimal dialogue, and even levels aren't designed well as there can be invisible walls and deceptive terrain all over the place. The gameplay is incredibly simple and even on Hard mode, far too easy, which is not supported by generally terrible quest design. Despite all this, it is a fun charming game that I surprisingly spent ~50 hours in across three playthroughs and ultimately do recommend. If you turn off the parts of your brain that might appreciate a logical narrative or complex gameplay then you can really enjoy what's here. There are six characters with unique gameplay, each one having 2 level 18 classes and 4 level 38 classes that vary depending on your choices when leveling up. This does provide a lot of variety, but unfortunately you're locked into your class choices until you beat the main game or begin the post game, so there's not a lot of room to explore unless you do ng+. Worse yet, the first 6-10 hours of the game are a terrible slog of "go to this place, have one line of dialogue, go back to this place" before you are allowed really any freedom to explore the world or customize your character abilities. This is also the worst part of ng+, and if you want to see everything the game has to offer you need to do two (technically three) playthroughs. This game isn't really enjoyable until chapter 4 (about 10 hours in.) Anyway, at the beginning of the game you will only have a light attack and a strong attack, and it takes way too long before you can unlock a class at a mana stone. But a strength of this game is the free range 3D combat that is seamless with no random encounters. It is a touch repetitive since there aren't that many combos but it is good and easy to leave encounters you don't want. Each character has a unique narrative, and the characters exist in narrative pairs, so it's possible to have a somewhat cohesive story, but the game picks up and drops threads randomly since it depends on which 3 characters out of the 6 are in your party. I wish they had done a better job in this remake of either weaving together the narratives, or better isolating them. By chapter 4, several of the villans of the story will disappear, defeated off screen, saying "well, i have no reason to go on" and I found myself literally baffled by this. It wasn't until my second playthrough that I realized it depends on who your main character is, who your final boss is. So the villans that aren't applicable to your playthrough, just get dealt with in a narratively non satisfying way. So the story is terrible but the monsters and characters are well designed. The game itself is beautiful in it's unique artstyle and fleshed out environments. And once you reach class 2 and 3, the game is so much more enjoyable. The first 6-10 hours of the game are boring but everything after that is so good that it justifies the incredibly slow start. Once you beat the game you unlock ng+, and higher difficulty modes. On normal mode, i beat the game generally being 10-15 levels underleveled. On expert mode I had to be 2 to 3 times overleveled to stand a chance. Expert mode can be grueling but the higher difficulty forced me to really explore the game mechanics and utilize items, projectiles, sabers, etc and actually dodge (something you never need to do on normal or hard mode). There's an even harder game mode called No Future, but this seems so mind numbingly difficult that I wouldn't touch it myself or recommend to anyone at all, really. So this is a mixed bag. This is the first time I've played a game where hours of it are boring but the rest of it is still worthwhile. About 2-3 hours in I wanted to drop this game but I was very intent on finishing it. And while I really enjoyed it, and even 100% it, I can't wholeheartedly recommend it without telling you to adjust your expectations. I do recommend playing it on hard mode and turning off the minimap and quest objectives on the screen, and switching from English voice acting to Japanese voice acting. This made it significantly more enjoyable for me.
Actual Peak Game and stands at least with the SNES: Pros -Actually fixes game breaking bugs -Actually adds additional content -Actually improves graphics and environmental designs -No major censorship controversy and attractive characters -Offers option for music from original with me actually sometimes mixing up which is which -Difficulty settings (not all the most balanced but options are there, hard is sweet spot and not too hard) -New boss attacks/patterns are mostly very interesting and allow opportunities to dodge (caveat is some timed bars suck tho) Cons -Expert and No Future are nigh unplayable if you don't farm the proper class 1 equipment and/or ??? seeds on a previous file before starting -Teammates die very easy and AI sucks, though if they were too good it might make the game way easier I'm a bit shocked honestly, an actual good remake from Squeenix that keeps what worked and the actual additions/changes generally enhance the experience? If only they locked in like this every release
