In this video I take a look at Trials of Ascension: Exile an epic open world, RPG, survival fantasy game. I wanted to play a single player game so I didn't have to worry about the ping on the servers but when I clicked it nothing happened? So I just played on a multiplayer server and ignored the warning about the bad ping. Once I'd finished playing and closed the game I saw a window that had popped up behind the game for creating a single player game. So if you get the same problem you can ALT TAB to it instead of playing multiplayer. Anyway that said the multi player worked for me and was fun. The game has great graphics and the RPG and survival aspects are exactly what you would want from a game like this. It's very large scale and a game where you would invest a lot of time and in my opinion happily. The night cycle seemed to last ages in the game and I was beginning to wonder if you would ever see some of the game in daylight but this feature can be changed if you create your own game. All in all I think the game is great and I would love to play more of it. its pretty much in alpha. its not had an update in years, don't buy it, its dead.
I love this game. It's so realistic, it's exactly what I want in a survival game. It's a little unfinished, of course - "early access" and all that - but even as-is, I'm really enjoying it. It's tough and I die all the time, which is frustrating, but I never expected to be good at this game. XD The crafting is awesome, and being a baby dragon is challenging! And also there's spiders.
A very innovative twist on the survival/sandbox genre. It sets itself apart very well from other games in the genre, like Ark, Dark&Light, and Rust. Can be a bit challenging at times- playing as a human can be a bit of a grind for some of the less-common resources, and there's not a lot of content for the beastial races just yet, but it's got a lot of potential. Runs pretty smoothly for a very early access game, the graphics are quite good even on the lowest settings, and the server stability for both private and official servers is excellent. Overall, it's a game that breaks the mold on may of the traditional formats that have gone overused and stale. It has a lot of potential and I look forwards to seeing it flourish with more content.
Nice idea. Awful execution. I wanted to play solo, so I tried to create a server. After about 30 errors, the launcher refused to continue. So I gave up and went to join a multiplayer server. There were only two, and both were empty, so it's still solo. The tutorial sucks and gets stuck, so it's hard to tell what I was supposed to be doing. Made worse by the fact that night started while I was still learning the controls. It's so dark you literally can't see bushes or rocks. Unless it's something you can look up at to frame it against the sky, you can't see it. Despite a gibbous moon, it's pitch black everywhere except the sky. Apparently the game devs aren't aware that eyes can adjust to darkness. To make matters worse, the interface is terrible and there's no UI scaling. So if you try to play in 4K like me, everything's tiny.
game ded, boi
Being a sandbox this game is what you make of it. If you search ,look and try different things you will easily find what you need to survive.
This is an Early acc game. with that sad there are bugs and its not opptamized . How ever with that said ive have played many games that are EA and this one is fun . there is so much more this game will offer in the future it has had many setback and yet the creators of the game still pushed forward to make it. I wish there was more of the dev to player contact . so they can fill in some of the blanks and give us a better idea of things to come but they are working it on it . much like all the smallers game out there that didnt seem like they where making headway till the gamers really took a look at the game. this game is also haveing te same problem . i would say to anyone looking for a Hardcore sandbox mmorpg to buy this game . it may take time for it to really get off the ground but when it does i think it will be one hell of a game. #dragonlife#TOA
This game is just quirky enough that I would recommend it for fans of early access games. It feels ~48-60 percent complete. There are a lot of features left to be desired, however it feels like this game will end up being a solid title. P.S. Don't punch the miniature dragons. They help gather clay.
