"Travelin' - Across Europe" is a digital adaptation of the popular 2018 card/board game created by Eli Lester. Designed for 2 to 5 players, the game offers a journey through Europe's best and worst, from exploring intriguing countries to overcoming various travel-related challenges. With an average gameplay time of just under 30 minutes, it's perfect for a quick yet entertaining experience. The digital version of the game maintains the essence of its original counterpart while providing a visually appealing interface. Players are tasked with making strategic decisions, collecting points, and outwitting their opponents to become the ultimate traveler. The game features various elements such as card drafting, hand management, set collection, and take-that mechanisms, making it accessible to both casual and experienced gamers.
The Gameplay:
Card drafting: Players start by selecting cards from a shared pool, which can include various actions, events, or locations that will impact their journey. Hand management: Players must effectively manage the cards in their hand to optimize their strategy and adapt to changing circumstances. Set collection: Collecting sets of related cards can yield bonuses or unlock special abilities, encouraging players to prioritize certain card combinations. Take-that mechanisms: Players can directly interfere with their opponents' plans by playing cards that hinder their progress or disrupt their strategies. Journey progress: As players progress through the game, they'll encounter various landmarks and challenges that reflect real-life travel experiences, such as visiting famous landmarks or dealing with unexpected obstacles like border controls or transportation issues. Victory conditions: The game is won by the player who collects the most points, either by successfully navigating challenges, visiting popular destinations, or outmaneuvering their opponents. One aspect of the game that could be improved is the Multiplayer mode; however the single-player experience still offered a fulfilling adventure across Europe. Overall, "Travelin' - Across Europe" is a well-crafted digital adaptation of a card/board game. With its unique gameplay, strategic elements, and travel experiences, the game is fun for both fans of the original game and newcomers looking for an exciting virtual adventure. At its current price point, it's a bargain for the replayability it offers. Very well made, lots of polish. If you like board games, this should be a good choice. I wish there was an interactive tutorial, but after reading the instructions a bit, just playing the game felt intuitive enough.
I was skeptical whether to buy this game or not as it does not come from a well-known developer or anything like that, so I was not expecting much. But I decided eventually to buy this game together with some friends and we had a blast! This game is perfect for playing if you want to relax after a few rounds of more competitive games, easy to learn and simple rules. Do not hesitate and go for it, it is a blast playing with friends!!
I've played both the real-life version and the digital edition of Travelin. The desktop version is really well-made and captures the strategic fun of the original perfectly. I highly recommend for a competitive but relaxed play with your friends :)
Funny little game that can stir some laughter between friends... or fights... Play with your friends at your own risk :)
Fun little game to play with your friends(if u have) after sweating ur a** off in comp. games.
I always find time to play this with my wife during short breaks between other activities, and it’s become one of our favorite quick games. It’s simple to learn, easy to jump into, and surprisingly fun for such a small game. The matches are quick but still have enough strategy to keep things interesting. My wife constantly beats me at it, but that just makes it more fun and competitive. 😄 One thing I really enjoy is the cultural side of the game. Traveling around Europe, visiting countries, and learning bits of geography while playing is a nice touch that gives the game extra charm. If you’re looking for a simple, casual game to play in short sessions, especially with someone else, this is definitely worth trying.
A wonderful game in which you learn to take responsibility and, most importantly, how to manage your resources and make the right decision when you reach a crossroads. So, if you think games fry your brain (as every mom says), you haven't tried this game yet.
I have this game in real life in romania. A very small yet lovely and easy to understand game. Recently its price got lowered too I believe. The main issue with this game is that its the fact that either nobody heard about it which im pretty sure since its barely any videos on youtube about this game, therefore no playerbase so you cant find any lobbies at all to play multiplayer. A very underrated game, especially if you like board games and have friends to play it.
