I hate leaving bad reviews and I want to love this game / recommend it to everyone but right now I just can’t. It’s a game that has so much potential but it needs so much work to it. If this can progress into a goat simulator style game where you can cause more havoc as a raccoon than just running around a dark city knocking over bins to get an irrelevant score it would be so much fun. The game itself is so glitchy and buggy, cars / houses spawning through the map, in the air or on their side. Sometimes the map itself just doesn’t load and you fall down it and have to start that map again. The raccoons you challenge to see who can knock over the most bins first would actually be a fun aspect if those raccoons didn’t stay floating in the air letting you win. I’ve sunk so many hours into this trying to achieve the achievements to find out that 4 of them are currently unobtainable because the maps aren’t even created yet. The Swansea level I can’t even complete because the bins don’t spawn when challenging the raccoon. It’s a nice game but loses appeal within 5 minutes because there is quite literally nothing to do. Things I wish it had: - a full map you can view to see what roads / bins you’ve missed. - multiplayer - power ups to actually do something fun than fart fire or glow whilst floating. - more things to go, other NCP’s around that actually do things or you can interact with. - time cycles so you’re not just playing in the dark all the time - other objects to interact with - more diverse scenery that’s not the same 4 trees and a square house that are all the same colours. - score board / leader boards that actually make getting a score mean something. - more actions for the raccoon because 80% of buttons are useless. My only over gripe is playing this on the steamdeck / with a controller, the default settings mean run is the X button which is a real nightmare to control the camera angle as you’re running. I know this can be changed in the configuration settings but I just can’t see the logic behind having the default this way. I don’t know, if you’re desperate to play it then you do you but I really wouldn’t waste your money like I have in the state it’s in now…
This is a dumb meme game. There is nothing to do. I got it because i live in toronto and see raccoons here on a daily basis and then refunded it right away. Pass on this
This game has potential to be a lot of fun , but at the moment it is really lack luster. There really isn't much to do other then run around and knock over trash cans and open boxes of food left out. Sure you can climb stuff like trees and houses but there's no point. No hidden objects or points of interest. It is a very good representation of what being a raccoon is, but after about 10 minutes it's rather boring. While some of the maps are quite large there's just what I listed to do. Most fun I had was trying to beat the trash truck to cans, but even it has a set path and just keeps looping.
Fastest purchase I have ever made in my life, It's also great to support a local game developer.
So much potential wasted :'( There just aren't enough things to do, so it gets incredibly repetitive very quickly.
Awesome game. A few glitches here and there but overall i love it. I highly recommend especially if you want to play a casual game. sometimes you cant hit a garbage can on a major road like queen street cause it stops you. I hope to see that fixed but otherwise awesome. i also like the nemesis challenges. it would be cool if you had to avoid moving cars too
this is literally me.
The potential is here but the game has a long way to go before it's playable and viable. Really, the only people who probably would be interested in this, are Torontonians and those around them.
Super fun game! love the mechanics its super simple and definitely a game worth playing.
