Toy Story vibes here! At some levels, collecting 3 stars is quite a challenge.
Train lovers will be satisfied. A typical puzzlegame with a gear changing, but extremely interesting looking at the table using VR. I Recommend this
Trains VR is a virtual reality train set puzzle game. I enjoyed playing it and would say it is almost a great game, but unfortunately it has some really annoying design flaws. Firstly you have this really great environment but you can't move around, what a shame. It looks like this wasn't the original plan either because there is a poster on the wall that the tutorial tells you to read for the table movement instructions but you can't see it properly because you cant get to it. That brings me to the next silly design flaw, the table movements. It has these overly complicated movement controls that only seem to work when they want to. It seems they get misinterpreted due to how close they are. There could be a simple handle on the side of the table that you could grab then push, pull, or lift. I couldn't find a free play mode either which I thought was very silly. I have a VR train set but I can't build what I want? Lastly I found the track placement to be a bit of a problem at times but this might have been overcome if I could rotate the table easier. On top of these design flaws I also encountered game bugs. It was the one bug actually but it happened a few times in the video. I would complete a level but it wouldn't register the score so I would need to play it again. I'm not sure but it may have been due to an achievement or notification popping up. Anyway, if you can put up with the limitations and the bugs it really is a cool game. The whole concept is really fun, especially the ability to hop in the trains as they race around the tracks. The price is also great. So will still recommend the game, lets just hope the developers reconsider some of their design choices and fix the bug at some point, then it will be great! good game
The best VR game about trains in VR I have ever played!
Fromt the first moment I see one of the best VR titles of the year.
Super casual puzzle game with a nice VR integration. If you loved trains as a child there is an added sentiment bonus on top of that.
not bad for the sale price
Пазлы с минимальным взаимодействием и разнообразием в слишком плохом качестве в очках, чтобы наслаждаться игрой долгое время. Самый большой плюс - предмет, окупающий игру в несколько раз.
I have mixed feelings about this game. Although I liked this simple puzzle game at first, I became aware of the less optimised controls (I used a Steam VR index). There were no real good explanation on how to rotate the table (Had to figure it out myself). Ofcourse if you are playing in a bigger surrounding, you could walk around. But for those who are in a small surrounding, a small explanation on how the basic movements are, isn't asked too much. But still, there is no point in walking around as it doesn't offer you any "more" insight on how to fix the puzzle. For some reason, my controllers didn't feel optimised, i had to click multiple times on the building spot, and on moments when I wanted to build a track, it destroyed it instead. All the controls are easy to understand, the controllers however managed to change all my instructions. So not sure if it's the game or the controllers that weren't in "sync". The game itself is presenting simple train puzzles, which are quite fun at start, and more challenging later. Graphics aren't that bad, and the little animations on the animals are quite entertaining. Soundtrack is quite lacking. For a game like this, a more and longer soundtrack would have been more nicer. I would have loved this game a lot more if the controls were more optimised for Steam Index. Therefor I can not really recommend this game if you own a Steam Index. But i'm sure if you are into puzzling and you do have a big place to play VR in, this is quite a fun little gem of a game. I give this game a 6.5/10 at best. I did idled the game for the VR train item.
