great game with a plethora of DLC but i've noticed this game doesn't play well on any pc, good or bad. you'll need to do some optimizations using external resources to get the game to perform well.
jogo muito passa fome mais recomendo
I genuinely wanted to love this game. I'm a huge fan of trains and railway simulators, and I bought Train Simulator Classic during the Steam Summer Sale expecting to spend my weekend driving trains—not spending hours acting as an unpaid QA tester. From the very first launch, the game was broken. Quick Drive worked occasionally, but almost every other game mode was either completely unusable or severely broken. Academy scenarios wouldn't load. Career scenarios got stuck on a blank background screen forever. Standard scenarios failed to load required rail vehicles. Free Roam either failed or loaded into an empty grey world with no scenery. Tutorials were unusable. Workshop didn't work either. I spent over two hours doing nothing except troubleshooting. I verified the game files multiple times. I cleared caches. I switched between the 32-bit version, the 64-bit version, and DX12. I updated graphics drivers. I checked LogMate logs. I manually inspected the RailWorks installation. I unpacked .ap archives. I rebuilt files. I deleted caches. I even completely reinstalled the game from Steam. Nothing produced a consistently working game. The worst part is that this is an official Steam purchase. I shouldn't have to browse forums from 2012, manually extract archive files, inspect asset folders, or debug missing rolling stock just to get a modern Steam game working. When scenarios finally started loading after hours of troubleshooting, they either complained about missing rail vehicles or loaded into an empty flat grey world. At that point I had spent more time fixing the simulator than actually driving trains. The simulation itself seems good when it actually works, but that's impossible to appreciate when the product is this unreliable. If you're lucky, maybe it'll work for you. If you're unlucky, be prepared to spend your entire refund window troubleshooting instead of playing. I requested a refund because my recorded playtime wasn't spent enjoying the game—it was spent trying to make it function. Very disappointing experience. I expected to drive trains, not debug a 15-year-old game engine.
Dude honestly this was one of my favorite childhood games and I FINALLY GOT IT JUST FOR IT TO BE FILLED WITH ♥♥♥♥♥♥ DLC'S terrible game
TSC is an old train sim now, but it's still fun. I am enjoying it so far. The reason I decided to try it is because there is a lot of content available for it. I waited for a big sale and stocked up on a bunch of DLC's. I mostly like driving American freight trains, and for TSC, there is plenty of DLC freight trains and routes to choose from. Overall, I have no big complaints. The graphics are dated, but they're good enough to get by with. One thing to keep in mind is that TSC is old and runs on DX9. This means that the sim's performance is not so great, so don't expect to get high frame rates. I notice frame rates can drop down to 30 fps in some scenarios, but It is still smooth enough at that frame rate though. If you get below 30 fps, you will see the slideshow effect. I did need to reduce certain graphics settings even though I have modern high end hardware. Anti Aliasing really destroys performance, so I recommend using a low AA setting. Also the scenery density and shadows settings hurts performance a lot in some scenarios so I recommend reducing those settings. Yes, it's old as I said, but the large amount of available content still makes buying TSC worth it once you get it running smoothly.
В сравнении с другими симуляторами норм. До запуска обязательно отключайте интернет, иначе черный экран!
This is almost a twin of Microsoft Train Simulator, but the graphics are more realistic there are people in the trains and platforms and the drivers in the engines and trains are visible, it's a great find
outdated but still classic game fun train game great for entry level pcs like mine i like this game i recomend
bad graphics, unrealistic trains
