Недостаточно отличий от предыдущих частей, высокая стоимость и обилие платных DLC, без которых игровой процесс составит около 2 часов.
I love Train Sim World, the graphics are like to other and the experience is so close to the real thing, but there is still one VERY large problem. I can't help but see that Train Sim World continues to ruin the game for american railfans. With Train Sim World 5 on the way there is no point to buy it. It's going to be another $50 game just for the same exact thing we had in 2020, 2, 3, and 4. At this point it's unacceptable. As a Midwest native I've been waiting for a route in the rail capital of the U.S. Chicago. It's only been California and New York routes, with the Northeast Corridor and Los Angeles Commuter Services. They already have the rights to BNSF trains, why can't they add a Metra Line like the BNSF Aurora Racetrack. It's a perfect route with Amtrak, Metra and BNSF, that's inter-city, commuter and freight all in one route. Dovetail, please add something NEW for american railfans. We've all been tired of the same thing. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, help us out. I really want to like this game more, but I can't have fun with the game anymore.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I regret the money i spend on this and i wish i didn't. TLDR: under the hood an impressive simulation with a breadth of content, but the efforts are wasted on a game resisting to be played, plagued with horrible UX, inflexible controls and lots of bugs. Play Derail Valley instead. [strike]- -[/strike] I'm sorry this is really long and rambly, i really wish i enjoyed this game. If you indulge the game with its dated (dated, not functional) Graphics, performance hiccups and labyrithian menu-system, you get a game where you can have a few hours of fun driving your favourite trains around. Well if you knew how to drive that train. Because in my case the tutorial soft-locks before you even leave the station. The bug is known, it has been discussed on the developers forum back, when Train Sim World 3 came out. The Support Page links to a YouTube tutorial based on Train Sim World 2, where the soft-locking part of the tutorial doesn't even exist. The bug, with the rest of the DLC, has been simply ported from TSW3 to TSW4. Making it impossible to finish the tutorial (or get the achievement, if you care about that). Apparently thats worth 35€ plus the base game and TSW5 is coming out soon, with marginal graphics updates whohoo. The in-game community assets browser straight up refused to download any skins i selected. No custom controller support. You either play gamepad or keyboard and mouse. Want to use your HOTAS throttle to control the accellerator? Good luck! Try maybe convincing the game that the HOTAS is an X-BOX controller. You can't rebind any analog axis though, because why would a simulator have that functionality? Key-rebinding is also a nightmare. You need to scroll through a tiny window with hundreds of keybinds and basically guess which one corresponds to the button on the train you're trying to map. The labelling often don't match 1:1. There is no search function or filtering by train, not even alphabetical ordering and if memory serves me right, not every key-combination is even listed. I've played many FPS games, with less functions, developed for consoles, which had more usable menu- and key-rebinding-systems (not to mention 20 year old simulator games). The mess leads to funny situations though. Like once i fat fingered the reverser key (right next to the deceleration key, because a button you press maybe once every 15 minutes needs to be accessible) while doing 70 Kmh and startet to spin wildly and fly over the map. Usually you just overshoot accelleration and breaking, because controlling analog values with digital keys is really annoying. This leads to accidental emergency brakes 50m in front of the platform, because you pressed the "apply brakes" button on your keyboard for slightly too long. To give credit where it's due; beyond the layer of BS and inaccessibility lies quite an impressive core of a game. Lots of trains which are (judging by the few i know) mostly accurate as well as scenery and stations which - while i wouln't call them accurate - are reminiscent of real life. Like im able to pinpoint the exact pixels, that would be occupied by a house i once lived in, if they had actually modelled Dresden that far. I'm choosing not to talk about the pricing model of this game. I think its nature is evident by looking at the store page. Note though, that the game also ask you to enable actual ads to be displayed on the in-game billboards. I would not recommend this game to anyone, exept players who specifically want to drive X train on Y track and one of the DLCs offers that option. For anyone else confortable with a bit less real-live accuracy in their train-sim, but looking for a much more fun experience and a game that doesn't resist against being played: play the as of yet unfinished, but still much better Derail Valley.

I really enjoy Train Sim World 4 and overall I'd say I've had a very pleasant experience with this game and its DLCs. Though the DLC can be very hit and miss at times so I'd recommend waiting for a sale and making sure to have an informed opinion before buying a DLC to avoid any disapointments. DO NOT IMPULSE BUY DLC IT LEADS TO DISAPPOINTMENTS (peak forest railway)
