That simplicity is the point. It’s the kind of game you check in on, laugh at, and let run while chaos quietly compounds in the background. The idle genre fits the Trailer Park Boys universe perfectly: progress happens whether you deserve it or not. The writing nails the voices, the jokes land fast, and the whole thing respects your time by never asking you to work too hard for the punchline. It’s not trying to reinvent games. It’s here to entertain you in short bursts, reward laziness, and remind you that sometimes the dumbest system is also the most honest one.

[h2]"You could make a TV show out of this!"[/h2] On a real note, I had no idea what Trailer Park Boys was when I first installed this, and boy, was I in for a treat. The goal is simple, help the boys make an unfathomable amount of money by any means necessary, and I mean ANY means. The game is divided into seasons that all tell a unique story with the boys doing a variety of shady things to get rich quick. It had a lot of funny moments within that honestly made me want to watch the actual show. As you progress, you unlock more businesses and characters that provide bonuses to said businesses. The gameplay loop goes as follows, make money, complete goals, get arrested, be released, repeat. There are around 100 something seasons, and after that, you replay old seasons. There are also weekly events, with more fun stories, that have special rewards such as character skins and exclusive characters that can only be unlocked through doing well in the events. This is the main reason I kept on playing, even after unlocking all the achievements, I wanted to unlock all the skins. Notice how I said [i]wanted[/i], in the past tense. That's right, this game no longer works, it has been abandoned, so everything I just said was for nought. Even if you own the game now, the game gets stuck on the loading screen, and as I'm writing this, I noticed it was also taken off the Steam store, figures. I had a lot more I wanted to say about bugs and adjustments that could've been made but of course, saying anything now would be in vain. Even as far as last year, some of the game functions stopped working like the daily chest not opening because it couldn't connect to the server. It sucks to see, with this being one of my favourite idle games and one I've invested so much time into. Though, there is also a mobile version of the game with a lot more content and stuff, I can't really comment on the state of it, but as I said, there's a lot more content than the PC port. Honestly, before the game stopped working, I was dead set on leaving a positive review, but now, looking back on everything, the lack of transparency with the devs, the difference in content size versus the mobile version, the game showing signs that it was getting abandoned, this all culminated together and now I believe a negative review is justified. What a shame.

Trailer Park Boys: Greasy Money — A Friggin’ Decent Game, Boys Alright, listen up. I been playin’ this Trailer Park Boys: Greasy Money game, and lemme tell ya, it’s pretty friggin’ awesome for a stupid little tappin’ game on your phone. You get to run businesses, deal with idiots, collect cash, do crimes — basically all the important educational stuff nobody teaches you in real life except maybe Lahey during one of his drunk-a-saurus episodes. The game’s all about buildin’ up the park, makin’ money, losin’ money, gettin’ arrested, breakin’ outta jail, and then doin’ the whole thing again like a bunch of greasy geniuses. And every season gets harder, kinda like math, except this game actually makes sense most of the time. The characters look like us, swear like us, and act like us — even Bubbles looks pretty damn cute in it with his big glasses and whatnot. And I’ll tell ya somethin’: the bosses you fight? Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. But beatin’ them feels good, like finishin’ a job you didn’t really mean to start but now you’re committed ’cause you already stole half the stuff. Anyway, it’s free, it’s fun, and it’s not rocket-appliances. If you like tappin’, swearin’, makin’ stacks of greasy cash, and hearin’ Randy talk about cheeseburgers every three seconds, then this is the game for you, boys. 9 outta 10 pepperoni sticks. Loses one point because sometimes the ads are more annoying than Randy squeezin’ into a shirt that’s two sizes too small.

You remember the South Park episode on the evils of mobile app scam games? With Terrence and Philip being the game the kids spent money on? Yeah, this is exactly that game but with a lame skin from Trailer Park Boys being worn like something out of Silence of the Lambs. It's a basic clicker where you can't keep clicking unless you pay up... a scam. There's only a superficial game here. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the too-bright, colourful, thin plastic cabinet dress theme on a poker machine at the casino. That's basically what this is. So really, the mobile app "game" is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop. Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is a mobile app. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Given that this free title won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? Nope. There's no up front cost here, but I still feel like I should be asking for my money back, and I didn't even spend any. That's how bad this is.
