Short but sweet. Pros: -The guns work great. >The primary is instant and does great with single enemies. >The secondary is more of a futuristic grenade launcher, which works great for clearing crowds. -The asset and visual quality is incredible. The game is made in Unreal so what do you expect! -I really enjoyed the level design.(Level 3 specifically with the "Follow the pipes" task.) Not having a minimap/map made driving around more engaging and less about trying to figure how to get to a spot I see on the map. -Full controller support. Cons: -The lack of a brightness slider made some areas quite difficult to work in. However, the headlights do help. -I experienced quite a few lag spikes near the end of the game. Nothing unbearable, but enough to make me a little frustrated when I died. -The "Unstuck" isn't always strong enough to help on some ledges. I could always eventually make my way down, however when fighting enemies, it was sometimes enough to make me panic and die. Final notes: This is a great, short game. I love the driving and how much it reminds of the Borderlands games. (Though certain elements could be improved in my opinion, such as changing directions quickly.) If you also enjoy driving in Borderlands, buy this!
Fun little game. Drive around shooting the enemies, completing your missions, and upgrading your vehicle.
Solid game! Graphics are great! Weapon options provide very different styles of game play. Fun to see if you can beat your best time in each level, and what weapon combo is most effective. Highly recommended!
clunky and machine keeps getting stuck all the time without ability to always reset sometimes the truck reset works mostly no. dont waste your time
While the game itself is good, whats here to offer is interesting and fun, the gunplay is fun and the driving around is really enjoyable, there's just not enough of it. Literally, it took me 40 minutes to beat the three levels on offer here. I guess I could spend another 40 minutes playing through again just to unlock the other weapons? There's really nothing there to push me to do that though, there's no replayability really, no collectables to find, no alternate routes, just the same three missions to go through again and again. If you're okay with spending 6 bucks for 40 minutes of content, then this game is for you. If that just isn't enough for you, like me, I wouldn't buy it. I wish there was a middle rating because that's what I'd put here, as the mechanics DO make it fun to play, it's just that there's so *little* of it to play with. EDIT: I fully completed the game in 74 minutes. All weapons unlocked, all three missions played through multiple times. It's fun while it lasts I guess but I was expecting something at least a couple or a few hours long, not a single one where I completed everything already. At least put in your advertising that it's a short experience. 6 dollars is a lot when I'm paying for literally only an hour of content. I could have spent 3 bucks to rent a two and a half hour movie, so I could have gotten 5 total hours for six bucks. I literally spent a whole dollar per 10 minutes on this game.
A short game, but it has some satisfying gameplay. I do wish there were some additional upgrades to your vehicle aside from unlocking new weapons. Being able to adjust speed, fire rate, shield stuff... Those would have been very cool additions. Ah well, no big deal. In any case, you're a vehicle. Maybe you're a person in the vehicle. I'm actually not sure. But you drive around and shoot robots so you can collect some mineral. It plays a bit like Twisted Metal, I feel like that's a pretty decent comparison. Combat is pretty fast and chaotic most of the time, but there are a few areas you an take a more nuanced approach. Missions are replayable if you're looking to go back and blow up a bunch of robots, or just kind of enjoy the scenery. To me it reminds me of some of the canyons in Arizona and Utah.
I enjoyed trace hunters, it's a short but sweet game in a genre that doesn't seem to be very popular nowadays (vehicle shooter). Handling of the car is alright, if a little wonky in regards to physics sometimes, but you quickly learn how far you can push the movement before you start flipping over.
Very solid game, I didn't have too much time to play it tonight but I had a lot of fun! The graphics are stunning and I love the concept as well, the gameplay is good too. One thing I'd like to see is some faster vehicle acceleration, as it feels a bit slow as it is right now. Other than that though I liked it a lot, great job with this and looking forward to what else this developer makes in the future!
good concept, not much actual content. feels like a proof of concept game or a demo. about an hour of stuff to do. not really worth the cost imo. to me a game should give you at least 1 hour per $ spent. $5>1h, not worth it
Fun 3rd person vehicle shooter! Decent for the price. Likes: - Primary/secondary weapon upgrade system. - Shooting SFX & VFX are satisfying. - Easy to jump in and figure out all the controls without going through a bunch of tutorials. Dislikes: - Even with vehicle reset, it's easy to get stuck on edges or rocky terrain. I lost some time needing to restart level cause I couldn't get unstuck. - Was hard for me to controlling the vehicle to maneuver how I wanted it to.
