[h1] Important details about the game [/h1] - A character level system through which you can unlock powerful new skills over time. - It has 3 races which all have their own towers and play each other differently. - A total of 62 very nicely designed maps (no high-end graphics, but> very nice for this genre - A very active administration team that tries hard to find and remove weaknesses - I've heard that new content is already being planned, but the details are not yet known. - SAD system (opponents find their own way and don't always take the same one), which integrates a new strategic component into the game. Sometimes it still has a few weaknesses but on the whole it's very interesting. - Online mode for co-op games with up to 4 players works almost flawlessly, sometimes you are thrown out, but so far this only happened to me when the game was started so that it could simply be started again, so nothing is lost during the Game always ran smoothly. - Steam cards and many achievable achievements which cannot be achieved in a very short time but all of them are achievable for everyone. I am pleased with the quality to price ratio of this game. Not a good introduction to the tower defense genre, but as a veteran I find that it is enjoyable. The difficulty from map to map varies significantly, and because of the co-op option I highly recommend you buy a friend a copy at the same time. The GUI has been criticized a great deal, but I don't have a problem with it. Be sure to watch the tutorials in their entirety, it is worth the wait. I give it a solid 7 or 8 out of 10.

"Towers of Altrac" was an unusual semi-professionally developed co-op fantasy themed tower defense game from Russia. It's pretty generic stuff and the quality was considered D minus tier shovelware... back in 2015. It hasn't been maintained at all, there's no players, so this leaves you with the option to buy a co-op game that you have to play alone... not appealing. The controls and gameplay and overall general design is quite poor, and that's before you take the sloppy Russian translation into account. This is unpleasant to play, and not just because of how old it is. The game wasn't successful in 2015 and it's completely unrecommendable now. On the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game being difficult to recommend to gamers. Due to the age of this game, and the lack of modernisation, the graphics appear quite dated. This compares poorly to more contemporary games with professional standards. Given that gaming is primarily a visual medium, this is a bit of a problem, so should be taken into account when considering whether to get this game. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 140,000+ games on Steam? Towers of Altrac - Epic Defense Battles is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. This is also competing with over 14,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product. The quality problems and defects with this game makes the asking price totally unrealistic. It's impossible to recommend this to gamers here on Steam.

4/10 send to Alcatraz The biggest problem are the graphics. Not because the looks let a lot to be desired but becuase of CONTRAST. There is a reason why tower defense games almost always come in very simple and very colorful graphics: to clearly recognize the units against the background and keep them apart from one another! Which is just too hard in ToA to enjoy the game. Apart from the above there is a LOT of diversity in maps, units und modes - but it's all put to waste by generic and repetetive gameplay. Nothing I'd recommend.

29 hours so far on this game and still far off completing it, still unlocking new towers. I have been playing it on and off for years. I find it very addictive once I start. If you like Tower Defense then it's worth a try at this price. I know this has some bad reviews but I enjoy it, and like the level design. Some levels really challenge you. It's standard TD with upgrades for towers etc. The graphics are not great but then I can't think of any TD games that have mind blowing graphics. They are usually indie games.

after the initial logo , the game wont start. Id love to review it but ... IT WONT START haha. dont buy it.
