Tower of Guns is a fast paced first-person-shooter for the twitch gamer... with a few randomized elements to keep it fresh with each playthrough. It's a short burst "Lunch Break FPS"... not unlike Binding of Isaac mixed with Doom 2. Tower of Guns was made by a guy named Joe (with his brother Mike composing the music).

Excellent Game, endless playability, good Story, Try It!
Doesn't hold up. Clunky movement and the gunplay isn't very deep or fun. Back when it released I would say it's quite nice for an indie game though.
Was not fun

This is another fine example of the overall score not matching the quality of the game. It's an average shooter that has several poor decisions baked into the game. The worst offender is having two bad weapons to start out with and most guns are near impossible to unlock. Weapons allegedly level up, but I can't tell if their stats actually improve. Increased damage should mean fewer shots per target, yet it still took 3-5 shots with the Pea Shooter to destroy a saw blade robot, no matter what Stage I was on and regardless of weapon level. The Perk system is also bad, with triple jump being the only good Perk. I chose No Fall Damage and never needed it. There were times where it sped up traveling through areas, but I missed out on "secrets" because I couldn't reach them. The "Secrets" often contain permanent stat increases...meaning they are mandatory secrets. BAD DESIGN. 4.5/10 It's playable, but you could play better shooters.
Not a bad game, but not fun either. It may have been acceptable when it released, but it doesn't hold up to modern standards in any regard. Annoying enemies, combat and visuals. Not horrendous, but really hard to actually enjoy.
It's old and a bit jank now but i still prefer it to the sequel/spiritual successor "Mothergunship" this game just has cleaner visual feedback which makes it overall, a less frustrating experience and it has a more charming and unique aesthetic too
Forces you to engage in digital blackface. Also it's just not very fun.
I have played Tog for hundreds of hours (on console) and the more I think about it the more I think Tog is my favorite game of all time. It just has so much charm to it and idk how to really put it into words and i'm too lazy to type out everything I like about it but I really do love it. I also really love the textures which I know is kind of a weird compliment but they just look so nice.
bluegrass is best
