Torqued Up Legends is a competitive, arcade style, multiplayer racing game. It is not a realistic racing game. Its all about the Nitro system. The game is closer to a kart racer with a flair for real world driving mechanics It includes 20 tracks and 20 Cars!
Information / Review English
Torqued Up Legends is a classic Racing game that was developed by Project 172 and is still in the Early Access Phase. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7EomHlWz3s
Gameplay / Story
The gameplay is similar to that of FlatOut, but the focus in this game is more on driving fun. In addition to driving on given routes as quickly as possible, which is usual for racing games, the degree of destruction caused to the environment or the opposing vehicles is often decisive for victory. The game uses a powerful physics engine and exceptionally detailed damage models for a visually appealing representation of the destruction. The elements such as track design and driving physics of the vehicles have their focus on action rather than realism. So z. For example, the use of nitro, which the player receives during a race for causing damage to opponents and the environment, plays a central role. Furthermore, numerous ramps, oil spills and potholes are distributed as obstacles on the routes. The game includes a single player mode and a multiplayer mode.I can't say that much about the multiplayer yet, because I only played it briefly and couldn't test it sufficiently for reasons of time, but I'll do this afterwards in the rating. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2368513470
Pro
+ Alternative to FlatOut + nice graphics + Sound noises from the cars + great lighting effects + colorful mix of racing classes + Tutorial introduces you to the game + Achievements
Contra
- Control not yet optimally solved - In-game purchases should follow (does that have to be?)
Conclusion
Torqued Up Legends already offers a solid Racing game of all FlatOut, which is already Fun in the current Phase. It will be interesting to see what will follow. PS: First of all, many thanks to the developer who provided us with this key for the group.
Information / Review Deutsch
So spielt z.
Fazit
You like Cars? You like Racing? You like cool Tracks? You like challenging your Friends? Then Welcome to TORQUED UP LEGENDS https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2380435129 The Focus of this Game is Multiplayer Fun with Friends. You can drive Single Races in Practice Mode, but the Fun is clearly for the Multiplayer. So, what is special about this Game. At first it is the Gameplay itself. Controlling the Car feels like a Mix of Simulation and Arcade. It is special, but not bad. It is easy to learn in a nice Tutorial and after a few runnings, you will do better and better. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2380434487 The Racing Tracks are really nice Done. They are varied, detailed and feel somehow alive. You have also the Choice to drive Performance or Offroad. It is pure fun to outmanouver other Cars or find Shortcuts on the Road. Also to jump over Obstacles. Use Nitro and show your opponents the Back of your Car. TORQUED UP LEGENDS has a nice Carpark. It is early Access, so not every Car is ready by now but you can have a slightly Look at them in the Garage. You can also pimp up your Car. Choose Colour or Skin. Name the Tag. Choose a special Boost. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2380433823 Graphics and Sounds fit in very well and it reminds me a little bit of some good old Arcade Racers. Overall a promising Racer for some hot and funny Multiplayer Sessions. Thanks to the Devs for letting me racing their Tracks. You have i nice Game here. Wish you all the Best and i´m excited for more to come. Thank you for Reading. Should you buy it? Yesn't Well its really broken and it needs a lot of work. I have clipped trough the map successfully multiple times, including getting out of map and driving there. Recovery is broken as if you spam it it lauches you into the air bit by bit. It's waaay to expensive for a game this caliber.
Eh, I don't like it. Driving is clunky and weird, which makes the game really unsatisfying to play. That added with the super light feeling of cars and the lack of damage models makes everything feel like plastic. Although you don't need damage models to make racing games immersive or fun, the exclusion of it in this case really makes the game feel like you're driving a hollow square. In it's current state, Torqued Up Legends is going to need a lot more than what it is right now to stand out and not make the player feel like they should be playing either Forza, NFS, Burnout, Wreckfest, Beam.NGdrive, or Project Cars instead of this game. I would like to see this game succeed in the future, but it is going to need a lot more than what it is right now to do well in the future.
actually quite a fun game. always find it funny when the car does a back to the future disappear but leaving the wheels behind
Funny how this game has changed prices several times, the only thing unchanged is the quality of the game. For the price of this game, you can get yourself a real racing game. It really feels like a mobile game. Controls, levels and graphics are horrible. The game is still in EA, that should tell you something...
Torqued Up Legends pros: fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on, cons: Locked races require too much grind to unlock. The AI plays at master level. Sometimes the same traps can destroy your vehicle multiple times in a row. good game. Personal Suggested Purchase Price: $0.49 Or Less During Sale Free Weekend 4-16-2021 to 4-19-2021
nice graphics & gameplay physics could be improved... especially when the tires fly off when you power slide & explode... tires should bounce & continue in same direction as the power slide.
why do the cars explode and disappear but the tires are left rolling forward?
