Not recommended for steamdeck players. The game is playable and graphics are big enough but the text is so tiny it’s impossible to read. Also, the game seems to be very GPU intensive. Getting a refund for now. Might reconsider in future when these issues are sorted.
at first i was a little unsure about the robot buddies, but they ended up helping a lot towards the end when i was hunting for the last couple of things. it'd be cool if when you complete a full section (e.g. all of the wood boats) you got a little special chime / animation also, extreme thank you for not using AI for this!! very fun!!

In short: A quite refreshingly positive experience compared to other collectathon games. The positives outweigh the negatives for me (especially that patches could come out fixing some things), so I will probably 100% it. Positives: - Physics. Nothing worse than floating items like in some other games. I'm yet to find out how to push items though, so a tool like a broom would be nice. - Ambient occlusion is a god-send. None of these games have it for some reason. It really adds depth and realism. - FPS/performance is great, so seems well-optimized! The game looks good in general, too. - Not a copy-paste quick cash grab development as it has nice other features also seen in the trailer. Meaning, it's not a bare-bone basic feature game but thoughts and time went into it for sure. Negatives: - There is a "head bob" feature, and is On by default, but it is an odd implementation: even when standing still, you (the camera) rocks back and forth a bit. Just enough to feel like you are on a boat. - No Throw option. Throwing items toward the appropriate shelf or area and shelving them later is a valid way of playing such a game, but you can't do it here. - No crouch, No zoom. - No mapping options under Controls to see what key does what. - The whole inventory is messed up. a) Scroll up actually scrolls down. (it happens in a few similar games too) b) The current item in your hand is at the bottom of the list, not the top. Really confusing. c) The current item has a larger text, you can't compare it intuitively to the rest of the list (quickly matching item name lengths). So the current item is visually disconnected from the rest of the list. I'd prefer a simply different color but same size. These combined make it really confusing to play, and I can't imagine doing it for 5k items. Especially when you come from similar games where everything is reversed (but correct) - it's a reflex, a habit that you have to give up for this game now. - Hovering over an item (on a shelf or ground) does not list the item name, only seen when you pick it up. - Intro is weird: a phone call with a robotic sound which attempts to be a distortion effect, but doesn't sound like one. Voice aside, it's the laziest one-liner explanation on why you are there. In fact no explanation. Voice says "you know what to do" or something. Jheez. Make up something for the story. Later on the store is supposed to come alive with robots roaming around (I hope they kick up the piles to better distribute the items!) and the train, etc. So why not add a better intro? That's where you catch people on. - A really subjective and minor thing, but I don't like how some items look used and worn. All the board games, for instance (seen in the trailer too). Why aren't they neatly wrapped in their factory form?
WOOT! Really enjoyed this one! Wish there were more levels cause I just want to keep playing! Working on the final achievement, while relaxing and enjoying the game! Totally recommend! Its like the opposite of looting!!
I love this game!!!
Useless robots who pick up toys and then stand with it in front of the correct shelf waiting for you to grab it out of their hands and put it on the shelf in front of them. Wait - did I say useless? No, it gets better: when the robots move, they push toys into the ground by the dozens where you can't retrieve them. Though it's fun when they do it on the upper floor, so you can see the toys raining down onto the ground floor. Oh, and the quit option sometimes just vanishes from the eacape menu. This makes me think that you guys never once playtested your own game. I only played for an hour so far - who knows what other fun surprises lie ahead for me to discover... Nah, I'll just refund. Don't buy!
First I'll say the dev has been amazingly responsive to fixing bugs. The game took me about 6 hours to complete and I enjoyed it. The train to move items around is something new and helpful, and then the little drones to place items is really cute. I know some have mentioned the grungy look, but I felt like it was a bit of a theme like an old toy store. It also reminds me of that game genre with the grungy looking convenience stores and such. I didn't mind the look at all. There are some issues with items falling through the floor that the dev is working on. They are also working on the robots. In terms of the floor, I noticed now at least that items will reappear after a bit. At the very end I had only 10 still missing and there is a respawn button in the menu to make them reappear. I definitely recommend it if you like games in this genre.
If you like Supermarket Chaos, you'll dig this. Nice variety of items of different sizes and colors to put away. And there's a cat. That puts it miles ahead of other put-items-on-shelves games.
Eins der besseren Tidy Up Games.
