What a purr-fect cozy little puzzle adventure this was. And fair enough, the impossible level isn’t hard, but that’s the thing I like about it. For once, something is not overly challenging—just a lovely, cozy, relaxing time-waster that made me feel like I was wrapped in a warm blanket on a rainy day, along with a nice hot cup of coffee and not a care in the world.
In this puzzle game, you collect cat heads with the matching cat bum. Heh. And I think it’s lovely once they’re connected, their face changes a little. It’s a small detail, but it caught my eye.
It's lovely how they are all a little different; to me, it makes me feel like they all have their unique personality - nerdy, sassy, plain, war-chasing mouse cat, etc. Fun!
From beginner to impossible, they’re all very solvable. As I stated above, not even impossible is as impossible as I was holding my heart for. And that just felt nice. I played through the whole game, relaxing with a few podcasts of scary stories on the side, filling up every little nod, connecting every little kitty cat head to the butt. This one also seems perfect for all ages.
It has a beautiful, playful, and fun hand-drawn art style, which appealed to me personally. The music was also rather entertaining and uplifting. However, as I am, I... I swapped it out for my horror stories podcast, as my brain needs a little more input and stimulation than the lovely game sounds. The only point of critique I have here is that, when connecting the cats, it sounded more like a seal of some sort than a cat purring. So, that wasn’t my favourite.
I’ve also noticed that the SFX and sound cannot be adjusted separately. It’s either gotten rid of both or neither. Which wasn’t an issue for me, but it’s something I did notice.
I also loved the touch; there is a dark theme and a light theme. I’ll always prefer dark themes as they’re less straining for my eyes. So that really made me like the game even more. The cats are fun and colourful in their way. I, however, did miss having a sphynx cat in there, but that’s just because I want to be a butt. I own three of those babies, so always if I see there is none I’m offended *wink wink* (don’t take that too seriously, I’m not offended lol)
So, would I recommend this? I want to scream yes. It’s cute, it’s wholesome, it’s meow-velous and super chill to play. But if you’re looking for a really challenging one, then no. Fortunately, I wasn’t looking for a challenge, but rather a good time without having to cry over not being able to solve it. And in the end, I was sad all my levels were done, but it also left me smiling and happy that I played it out. And perhaps we see another great game by this duo, which is something to look forward to.
