In Tobiano, horses aren’t born knowing how to be ridden. You start the training process by backing the horse, then work your way through dressage movements to unlock new levels of training. Just like in real life, horses are not always successful when learning new movements. Horses also have temperaments and fitness levels which will impact their ride ability. Horses can get stressed by high demands like new exercises or strenuous work. For now Tobiano is focused on dressage, but jumping and other disciplines are in progress and will be added later on.

Tobiano features a complex breeding system that includes personality traits, ten different color genes, and conformation traits. A mare’s nutrition needs and conformation will change throughout the pregnancy, which lasts almost a year in game. Refine your line by strategically selling horses and breed for more valuable horses.
Breed for color, temperament, and conformation
There are ten different color genes, and multiple phenotypes for each. There are literally billions of unique coats in the game. Also, grey horses get lighter with age!
You can’t make a horse faster or more agile with feed. In Tobiano, feed is made up of different nutrients found in the real world, like protein, energy, vitamins and minerals. A horse’s nutrient requirements depend on their workload, size, and life stage. You can grow some of your own feed at your farm to be more self-sufficient.
Horses live out together in paddocks
Tobiano has a tack shop where you can buy gear for horse and rider. All tack comes in different colors and styles, so there are endless combinations that can add to your horse’s individuality. Tack is unlocked with gold which can be earned by maintaining your login streak or doing daily quests. Unlocked tack can also be crafted in the workshop. Spare tack can be sold for an extra income or equipped on your horses.
The tacking up area in the horse profile lets you save an "outfit" for each individual horse
Tobiano is semi-open world with a town center, home stables, and trails to explore. You can take your horses out to train, do quests, or complete daily challenges.
Training while out on a trail ride
Tobiano is best experienced with mouse and keyboard. Controller support is in progress.
A number of expansions are planned for the future, including jumping, livery stables, new tack and more, see the website for more details:

We can't even get passed the first task because of a glitch in saving apperance. Anyone else have the same issue?
great game with a lot of potential. cant wait to see what the creator comes up with for it
I really like where this game is heading and the development of it! Although I'm having trouble finding Connor for the 2.38 Quest which has become frustrating! I would love to see some marking such as bald faces, badger face, and different eye colors! Overall this game is well worth the money and I'm enjoying it so much.

this game has so much potential. its the first game that actually feels like riding and trining while taking the horses unique quirks and sensibilties into account. really a lovely effort that comes much more from the perspective of the horse. thank you!
This game has so much potential for what stage of development its in! there are bugs and glitched obviously but I love it ands it great fun! <3
The game is pretty well done, the gameplay is a bit lame, but it doesn't stop you from playing, the models and figures are well animated, but I would like to suggest adding a show jumping, show jumping training, and a variety of barriers, good luck with the variety of the game

I'm going to start this review off by saying this: Dev, don't give up on the journey of making your game through her full release and beyond. This game has potential and an inexplicable pull to it. I won't lie to you, the model of the human face scared me to death, she ain't pretty. But the horses are cute, and I found myself wanting to go back even when the game got stuck in a menu and I had to force quit the game. But this is my plea to players coming in: give it a try. This is a SOLO developer. I'm honestly attached to this game in part because of that. If nothing else I want to encourage small and solo dev's to keep going, to make their games because as the game is now, we would never get to see how good it could get if everyone just refunded and bombed the reviews. Give this game a chance, I'm excited to see where she takes this and I LOVE horse management and breeding management in my horse games, so I'll be sticking around for that alone. And y'all LOVE Horse Isle 3 despite the janky graphics so leave my girl Ida alone, she's doing fine. Anyway, I genuinely do recommend this game to others. It is rough, the graphics are smooth- too smooth, and its bugged to kingdom come. HOWEVER, it's fun, it has heart and it will- mark my words- it will get so much better. Besides, the whole reason I love early access games is because we get to see it thrive and grow OR crash and burn as some do. But I don't believe this will be one of them, so please ride along with us and see where this game can take us. I have a feeling it'll be one of the greats, even if it doesn't appear to be on the surface. Keep going Ida, you're doing great!
Plutôt immersif, je recommande On sent que ça été fait par une passionnée
It’s so amazing! One of the most interesting game! I love dressage so this game is so perfect for me!
