About
Your story begins once you step off the bus that brought you to Pixelia. From there on, only your imagination can decide how things will go. Create your Pixelian's story on your own terms. Customize your character's appearance, buy or rent a property, and work your way up to the top. There is no limit to what you can become. You can choose to be a musician, politician, baker, butcher, janitor, model, basketball player, hacker, or even president.
Compose your own songs, cook your favorite meal, fight your rivals, and drive any type of vehicle you desire. Meanwhile, take care of your needs and health to avoid getting sick. Play the game your way and live the life of your dreams!
With dozens of options for hairstyles, facial hair, clothing, accessories, and tattoos, you can create a unique look for your character and express your personal fashion sense.
Visit the real estate office to rent or buy a property. You can furnish your home with a variety of options to suit your individual style.
Start with low-tier jobs such as a cleaner, baker, or butcher and with dedication and hardwork, you will soon be able to make it to the top. You can be a musician, painter, basketball player, underground fighter, politician, supermodel, or even a president if you are ambitious enough!
Not a fan of office jobs? The world of art can be a tempting option! Compose your own songs, make albums, start a band with fellow musicians, and play at gigs and concerts to expand your fame and gain new fans.
Cooking is an important skill to master in the game. Read books to discover new, forgotten recipes, or experiment with different ingredients to discover new dishes.
Fight and loot to gain respect and fear among other Pixelians. There are hundreds of Pixelians and you cannot get along with them all! Use your punches to make your point. However, if you want to do it in a legal way, try your hand at becoming an underground boxer and fight professional fighters.
You can control a variety of vehicles such as motorcycles, cars, and rowboats.

I don't hate this game - on the contrary, I spent 30 hours on it, but I'm not sure I would recommend it to others. I think, after a while, the gameplay loop feels tedious and repetitive, especially if you keep your character working the same job, and I think the world around the player feels kinda dead and undynamic. From what I've seen, relationships between NPCs don't really mean much. I know that there are crushes/enemies/etc., but that doesn't really seem to meaningfully impact the gameplay. NPCs appear to have pre-programmed routes that they never stray from, so there's no variety in who you come across and when. The interactions the player character can have with the NPCs is also pretty limited; I don't mean to be unrealistic by comparing this indie game with a corporate-backed behemoth in the life sim genre, but what keeps a game like the Sims from becoming boring is the spontaneous interactions and the diversity of options for the personality of your character & how that affects your relationships with NPCs. I hope that in the future the developer will be able to add more dynamic interactions to the game and improve it overall, but, for now, I can't recommend it.
I love the game from the sandbox to story mode the mechanics are amazing the jobs are intuitive it is a awesome life sim. But the very big downside is the glitches. I can play for about 5-10 minutes (sometimes less) before it will have an error and turn off. Please fix this, I really want to enjoy the game. I want to recommend this game but right now its still unplayable. The glitches make it basically unplayable with any important event there is a 40 to 50 percent chance it will glitch out and become unplayable this is utterly unacceptable and ruins the otherwise positive experience and review that I would prefer to leave. Please fix!!!
I would like to start by saying this is a mitigated review. On one hand, To Pixelia has beautiful pixel art, a nice map, lots of npc, and offers so much possibilities : want to work a simple job, or to become a writer, an artist, a compositer, or be part of a band? Sure, go ahead! Want to get a degree and become a lawyer? To be an athlete on a basketball team, or a boxer? Bored of being a law abiding citizen and want to fight, to hack people or to be part of a gang? Want to start your own business or your own political group to become the next president? Had enough of the life in the city and want to go to the countryside to be a farmer? Everything's possible! As well as owning and furnishing a house, finding love, getting married and having children, and getting rivals because not everyone can like you. On the other hand, To Pixelia is grindy and, sadly, not in the good, make you want to keep playing way. At least not for me. I spent a good part of my playtime scrolling or watching videos while waiting for my character to finish doing whatever it was doing. Leveling a competence is basically you waiting for it to go up while looking at your screen, same as some jobs (like being a lawyer, sadly). Some action have minigames (such as writing, composing song, playing basketball and boxing) but it will depend on the player whether they like it or not. Some minigame are also tedious, like the one for the strenght aptitude, which require you to spam Q and E. Multiple times, very, very fast. So much my hand cramped and I decided to forever deactivate this minigame. Which means there is now five more actions that need me to look at my screen and wait for them to be finished. To resume, it's a beautiful game with lots of potential but which fell short on the gameplay. I admit I'm tempted to play a bit more to experience other aspects of the game, but sadly it just doesn't keep me engaged.
I've been waiting for a life sim game like this for awhile, and it seems I'll still be waiting because this one isn't it. A lot of parts of this game are pretty undercooked, and it lacks a lot of qol. Worst of all, the game is pretty boring. Played for two hours and felt like I did all there was to do. Very unfortunate as I was looking forward to playing this, and it just ended up being a disappointment.
