Honestly kind of addictive! You're a bookseller who moves to a new town full of booklovers to start up a business selling second-hand books out of a trailer, as you meet more of the locals and helping them out with a variety of favours you unlock more locations to sell books in! Eventually you'll be selling books all over town and making memories with the locals! The artwork is lovely, the gameplay itself if addictive (choose how to decorate your shop, where to set up for the day, choose how many of what genres to stock based off of trends in that location, and once you've opened up shop for the day you'll sit back and let the people get drawn in by your decorations, look around the location, and fulfill recommendations), there are some really charming questlines to follow with the characters, you get a dog and a cat, you can decorate! What's not to love? The best part is that once you've finished the main questline you can keep on playing!!! No finite ending, you can just keep selling books, keep buying decorations, and if you haven't completed all the memories or stamps you can do just that! I love this game, and I recommend it to any players who love a good cosy casual game!!
很愜意輕鬆的遊戲 內容算相對簡單但深入遊玩其實還蠻豐富的 第一感吸引我的是畫風 這種畫風雖然簡單 但我真的好愛
Fun for book nerds like me-- I love making book recommendations and learning about books I haven't read. That said, all my recommendations are thoughtful so I do take offense when they're rejected. HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT BOOK'S NOT POLITICAL, HILDE?!?!?!?! YOU HAVEN'T READ IT!!!! And Jasper, dear; not all folklore is magical. If you wanted fantasy, you could've just said so. :)
I totally fell in love with this game!! I just love the cozy small town atmosphere, the gamestyle, the fact that when you play long enough the characters get to know you and make you part of their community. Couldn't recommend this enough + if you like books (and I know you do) you'll get a chuckle or two from some of the book descriptions.
As an Information- and Library Science (ILS) student this game is really fun AND good practice för my exams! I feel I have an edge in this game as I also work part time as a librarian, but it says something that even those who do this as a job find a lot of joy in this game. Highly recommend! I'm sending this to my underclassmen as we speak
It's a very low-stakes game, that doesn't demand much of you, with cute aesthetics. I wouldn't say it's cozy, because the gameplay doesn't support it: characters are passive-aggressive, they demand your labor, money, time, and show nothing in exchange. Quests are mandatory, you have no input within the dialog, the gameplay, nothing. Basically, you choose a place, put books according to the place, and hope for non-nonsensical requests (the AI will many times prompt two clues that are opposites, and you basically have to guess which one is the important one). It's grindy, and not even that fun. My favorite part is when the cat is dumped with you, and never mentioned again lol I yearn for games that understand the meaning of coziness.
It's a very simple and casual game. I'm not even if I'm sure it could be called a game really. It's cute, the characters are cute. It's boring too, but I can't stop playing it?! I genuinely enjoy this silly little game!
I'm writing this review the same day I purchased the game. I played for 11 hours straight. It's fantastic, adorable, cozy, and so much fun. The daily loop is satisfying, has enough variations to feel fresh everyday through the ability to change locations and the book recommendation minigame. The world and characters feel well fleshed out, there's interactive elements in every area, items to find, and there's fun little events around the town often.
