First and foremost, I want to extend my congratulations to Motkeyz and Aesouth for crafting what is undoubtedly the penultimate western AVN featuring taboo elements that I've ever experienced—a genuine "incomplete" masterpiece.
This AVN is brimming with heart, joy, laughter, depth, emotions, intelligence, unexpected twists, allure, and heartache. While the first installment was fantastic, Lost Love elevates the standard even further across all aspects. It is rare to encounter an AVN in this genre that boasts such refined writing, stunning renders, engaging scenarios, explicit content, impressive set pieces, plot twists, and sex scenes that rank among the finest the industry has to offer, showcasing positions and passion that resonate with the audience. Additionally, it features the most effective use of time travel tropes, Groundhog Day-style storytelling, and an "ending" scene that I have ever witnessed.
Now that the praise/glazing are out of the way, let's address the elephant in the room: "incomplete" aspect.
Everything was progressing smoothly until we reached a segment of the narrative where it became evident that the developers had decided to move on to other projects. This moment occurred after a particular beach scene set in the past, followed by a leap to the future after a series of montages that felt abrupt, jarring and rushed even though it had memorable scenes within. If this is indeed the conclusion and no further chapters are forthcoming, it stands as the most remarkable ending for a vanilla AVN following the last memory wipe, though it didn’t feel earned.
Why is that? Due to unfulfilled premises and plot holes.
To begin with, let’s discuss the antagonists in the story: the Wonderwood organization. We didn’t spend enough time getting to know this enigmatic organization or fully grasping their motives to view events from their perspective, aside from a few scenes featuring low-level operatives that ultimately held little significance in the grand scheme of things. This should have led to a climactic showdown between the two organizations and a decision on which side to take. The dynamics of the family between Juli and Veronica remain largely unexplored in the present, or perhaps the absence of it is more accurate. There's a need to spend more time on the relationships you've developed and to delve into the consequences of your past actions with the various lives that were omitted from that montage. These are the three significant disappointments for me before we reach the final scene. If the developers had dedicated more time to these elements in the story instead of hastily rushing towards what could be the greatest Groundhog Day ending ever, it would have felt more complete and deserved. Despite being a memorable masterclass on how this AVN should conclude, it still feels lacking.
With all that said, I believe we need Chapter 3 to ensure the ending feels like a new beginning. It should address past mistakes with a newfound sense of purpose and the responsibilities of fatherhood while opening old wounds upon revisiting the epic love story within the household, incorporating changes for the future. Additionally, it should offer a glimpse behind the curtain of the shadow organization, leading to an epic showdown. This way, we can achieve a satisfying conclusion that might rival the emotional impact of Chapter 2's ending, especially the emotions i felt upon seeing Helen & lorraine and hearing Sandy's name mentioned.
Lastly, I can't believe the developers let this masterpiece go to waste upon release, simply dumping it on Steam without the proper polish it needs to reach its full potential. It deserves to rank among the highest-rated adult AVNs with thousands of reviews and sales. The reason for this is that the developers didn't even bother to translate it into several languages, especially Chinese and Russian, which could have significantly boosted their profits and motivated them to complete their new project more quickly, and then returning to where it all began and give it the send-off it deserves That's all from me. I hope this isn't the end, as it feels like a perfect conclusion, albeit unearned as we currently stand. Best regards.
好游戏 可惜没中文 就挺乱伦的 我喜欢
rate 8 of 10 1st one was better.... this one drags on a bit too much; retells the same story a couple times
.
This game definitely picked up where the first game left off, in story and intensity. This game is much longer than the first and much hotter. My only complaints are that the animations could have been more and longer, and I wish there could have been different endings for the love interests outside of the seemingly generic one. I loved this game and I do hope for a sequel to it - kudos!
Wie beim Vorgänger, leider keine deutsche Sprache. lg
nice first then you die and game over jee all is pretty ok but this DIE part kill all that + price is big
This story is LONG! Longest one yet. And it's interesting. So it's even more worth it. So many movie and TV show references. Some hilarious, OK, most hilarious. Still wondering if the devs crossed a line with the references though. Copywrite infringements can get them in serious trouble. But it's still funny. Anyway... Not very many choices to be able to change the outcome. And I really wish there were. Juli would've been my very last pick. She's very ugly! I absolutely hate her face! Whether as a 20y old, or 40y old. Actually uglier as the older. Saying ahorse in makeup isn't strong enough to describe how ugly she is. I cringed every time I saw her. Especially when they got intimate. Ugchk so awful. But the rest weren't much better. If I could've been given a choice, I'd pick Aliza, then Molly, Maureen, Jasmine, and Heather, in that order. The rest were horses in makeup. With Juli and her manish ugly face to never be touched. Even the MC looks awful, with his horse face. Artistry wise, besides their faces, was ok. But kind of clay animation CGI. After almost 23hrs in the game, I'm not sure when it will end. But pretty sure I'm not even close. But also don't know if I want to spend anymore time looking at horseface uglies. If the Dev can get off their butts and fix the faces, then I'll continue with the game. If not, then no, I'm done with it.
