Time Tenshi Paradox: Episode 1

Solid introduction for a plot (though a bit short). Continues in the tone similar to the previous games. Would recommend to the people who have enjoyed previous instalments. Would also like to say that playthrough of the previous titles would improve the experience. Also would like to say that given the length and the content of this game, I might recommend to purchase it only once more or all of the episodes get released. Hope that episode 2 comes out soon!

Rather well written, all things considered. My biggest gripe would have to be that too much time is spent on flashbacks, particularly in regards to flashbacks focusing on the events that took place in the original Time Tenshi. I admit that knowledge of what happened in that game is highly relevant, but it felt like they had no real purpose other than to give Bunni and Mizuki screen time that really did nothing to add to the current narrative. This especially bogs down this chapter with how short it was. All in all, this was good for its price. I get the feeling that the purpose of Time Tenshi Paradox will be to bridge the gap between Time Tenshi 2 and the upcoming Super Time Tenshi by showing everything that happens between the two games. Including explaining the massive changes to the Time Window room we see in the promotions for Super Time Tenshi, the new Time Suits, etc.

Silver Cow Studio's first foray into an episodic visual novel. Playing upon their already incredibly compelling Time Tenshi games, this one seems to offer a little twist. In previous games, players had to guide the protagonist Kenji Johnson along an interesting time travel adventure and navigate a series of choices to come to one of a few endings. With this new episodic game, the story is shorter but the choices seem to be more plentiful. And that's just for episode 1. If this Time Tenshi Paradox gains enough episodes to become as lengthy as the other Time Tenshi games or to even go beyond that, it might be their most engaging and impressive story yet. For episode 1, Kenji reacquaints the player with the events of the first two games, but as things start to go awry, you start to see some familiar scenes... with some unfamiliar dialogue. Naturally, being an episodic game, it comes to a close far too soon. But I'm not disappointed as I was expecting a Visual Novel that would be fragmented this way. As a first piece, it's interesting, but time will have to tell as more episodes come out. I'm going to refrain from giving this a thumbs up until more episodes come out, for now this is more like a demo, a peek at more Time Tenshi for the fans and will ultimately leave you waiting. Myself? I'm quite pleased, as I find the series to be very interesting and I love everything about it. So now, with Paradox, I feel the stakes have gotten higher. The story is interesting and I can't wait to see what Silver Cow Studio does next!!

Es ist etwas kurz, selbst wenn man alles liest, und unterschiedliche Wege sucht, wird man kaum länger als 2 Stunden beschäftigt sein, aber bei dem Preis ist auch kaum mehr zu erwarten. Die Episode ist alles in allem eine solide Einführung in den Plot, und ich freue mich auf die nächste. Alles natürlich unter der Prämisse, dass man mit der Art des Spiels und Visual Novell generell, etwas anfangen kann.

It was a little short for my liking. It felt like all but one of the decisions so far had zero impact on the story. I'm hoping that the decisions made can help change outcomes and future choices being available. Still, it's a solid follow up so far on the story and I'm curious to see where it goes.

It might be a short VN, but at least it's only $3. [h1]Pros[/h1] - The few backgrounds for where the characters travel to are nice to look at. - The background music is nice and the art is good as well. - Character choices. It is good to see a couple of them, even if most of them just change a couple lines of text. [h1]Cons[/h1] - Wish this spent less time recapping from past events for how short it is. - I was hoping this would be a little longer. Maybe the next episode is a little longer? - Some parts felt rushed as they kept skipping (a month later, a week later) things that could have been interesting. [h1]Nitpicks[/h1] - One line, Kenji says [spoiler]"I guess even Chrontek has a good side." That confused me as I thought he already knew that from learning about their reason for tampering with time[/spoiler] - Another line, Kenji says [spoiler]"I guess our field of work really is more dangerous than it looks." I know it has been some time since the events from the first two games, but shouldn't he know this already? He says that after the events of the last two games and how crazy the stakes were at certain points?! He was probably just thinking, but this is something he shouldn't even guess about.[/spoiler] [h1]Overall[/h1] If you played the other Time Tenshi games, you should get these games... IF Silver Cow makes more episodes. You will speed past the current two episodes, hoping they make another one if you get it now. It is recommended to get past Time Tenshi games to get a better understanding of some things that are said. Recommended for veterans of the series (if you want them so badly that is), but not for newcomers.

Apparently this is the 3rd game in the series. Not cool bro, looked like the first. I didn't understand a thing. But it's $3, so I guess it's worth it.

Hilariously dumb also horrible character design

Mistakes were made during the purchase of this game. Of all the stupid pervy VNs I've played where the whole point is just to look at naked people with text moving across the screen, this is easily the worst and least entertaining of all of them. [spoiler]The girls go into the time paradox device, and their boobs get bigger in the vortex[/spoiler] Don't buy this game. There are better VN out there that don't cost money.
