About

From an horrific and untimely death in deep, dark Peru, via preposterous-and-suspect alien invasions, to whipping back-and-forth in time to stop Hitler and his army of robot Nazi dinosaur clones, this is one set of adventures you're unlikely to forget.

Reviews
Time Gentlemen, Please! is the direct continuation to Ben There, Dan That!, an old-school style point-and-click adventure. It starts immediately after the ending of that game. It also plays mostly like it, with the same chunkiness and basic graphics. It keeps up the good humor with lots of written dialogue, and lots of different settings. The main difference is that this game is longer and less linear, with difficult puzzles to solve with convoluted solutions. It’s nothing you haven’t played before, so if you’re a fan of the genre you know what to expect and won’t be disappointed. You can find these 2 games bundled together for cheap often, although it’s mostly one game divided in 2 parts. They’re not bad, but not good either. Still worth it though.
You always knew they were gunna meet God, and that God would fix everything. What? That's not even a spoiler, it's so obvious. Now, a proper spoiler would be revealing that near the end, you get to see Adolf Hitler's micropenis.

A solid effort. One thing makes this game stand out in particular - the writers took the time to come up with unique responses for almost every single interaction and item combination, whereas many other games simply offer generic comments which often do not necessarily make sense in context. As with all things, humour can be hit or miss, but such attention to detail is always appreciated, in adventure games especially. Unfortunately the controls are too finicky. Switching verbs on the mouse requires going through them in order by clicking the right mouse button - if you miss the verb you needed by clicking too fast, you have to go through them again (using the keyboard shortcuts is an option, though). The game's rudimentary animations cannot be skipped, so trying out solutions takes longer than strictly necessary. The dialogue is not voiced, and lines can be skipped manually, but they will not stay on-screen waiting for that to happen. It is, therefore, possible to miss a line by clicking right after the skip has happened. Dialogue speed can be decreased to practically eliminate that possibility, but this also extends pauses between some dialogue lines, and they cannot be skipped. The first game - "Ben There, Dan That!" - is shorter and easier than "Time Gentlemen, Please!" which requires leaps of logic with its old-school, zany solutions. There does not seem to be an interactive spot highlighter tool available which certainly adds to the difficulty.
The humor is pretty good, reminds me of phineas and ferb. The story also seems interesting
Ben There, Dan That!
Time Gentlemen, Please!
Exzellente kleine Point & Clicks.
Save your money. This game is not for sale. This game is "for lease" only. Hence, you don't own it and never will.
Spielwertung: 6/10 Spielzeit: 8.5 Stunden (gesamt) Spieldurchläufe: 1 (Ende) Seid gewarnt! Man steuert alles per Maus. So weit, so normal.
If you like point and click adventure games, get these! I was wary that the simple graphics might indicate lower quality, but that's absolutely not the case. I liked the second game better than the first, but both are good, and in many ways more skillfully (and lovingly) crafted than modern point and click games.
