Wow... Definitely not one of the good ones. Anyone who played this has something "fun" to share. It's certainly an "experience". Okay let's get serious. Let's ignore the strange faces in cut scenes -> As we all know that it isn't as easy to animate them. At least back then. - The "Tibetan" adventure is rather... Modern. But I think it's better this way... Because the MC desecrates absolutely everything she comes across. - Lots of stuff to be "dug out". I swear that's the action I used most. Gems from statue feet. Powder from a statue. Something from the ground. All of this in order to destroy more artifacts. Good job. - I have no damn idea who any of those people you come across are!!! And MC is also a damn thief. I only bypass this... Because in H.O.Gs you take things... - There is a part where you "can't take this" or "can't take that"... Until you either find "use for it" or "get permission"... Are you serious? Now that's laughable. - Everything is so damn easy. Did you make this game for kids...? - Worst part? Majority of the things you do/actions you take make no damn sense. I know we all suspend disbelief with these games, but when it's constant...? I will give you two examples and "censor" them in case you want to witness it yourselves:
There is a part where you gotta get rid of a komodo (or rather, a giant lizard) and a poisonous spider on a web. Logic says: you got sticks/a cane -> use it on the web, wrap the spider and throw it. Use fire. Anything! So you get a bucket and make a sleeping potion in it. I am like "YAY! Komodo sleepy time!"............. NO!........... YOU WATER THE SPIDER!!!!!!!!!! WHY??????????????!!!!!!!! And then you just feed the komodo... ...........
- Second example:
To get rid of a giant water snake -> Don't just zap it with your staff... Make sure to first obtain an air bag... A basket... Some meat... Then "distract" the monster with it... When it goes to bite it -> zap it then. WTH? Monster doesn't know you're there!!! Just sneak up on it and zap it!!!!!!!
- Bugs. Some items appear in numbers instead of "half axe head" and "half axe handle"... By the end of the game I had THREE staves. There is no progression after a specific mini game... Just click out of it and it should get past it....... Lastly: Last portal spawns before you get the last gem.
Get it before going in!!!
They wont tell you that........ Would hate to reset the entire game because of it. I usually sleep through these... In my "Zen Mode". This game woke me up and I kept pointing out all the problems. I still did it, but... What have I accomplished in the end? *snort*
An ok Artifex Mundi hidden object game.
3.5/10 none of it really made sense, used hint in this Hog more than any other to tell me what goes where this game is mostly i spy do this to do that to do this, find rake poke komodo dragon with rake pick up broken rake handle use broke rake on water where you dropped fish food to skewer fish feed fish to komodo dragon take now even more broken rake handle to machine you fixed chop up pole into tiny wood use tiny wood leather some other stuff and ROPE!i got from a noose to make a 80+ pound childs KITE use kite to block light of moon shinning on thing so i can now read it. are these people idiots??? part of the game should be about figuring out what to do. almost every time its something crazy i never would have thought of. yes i made this sleeping powder to put a normal sized spider to sleep when i could have just wacked it to death with any of the items i had - used the same object over and over and over - hardly any puzzles here - objects in each HOG screen that swap from object A to object B magically. they are ALWAYS an item you need so just click on both and one of them works without ever reading needed items. think they did they every single time - lets make a moving HOG level...no, dont do this
This is a weak Artifex Mundi HOG. Yes, it has a female protagonist. Yes, it has a glowy-eyed baddie. Yes, it has the usual puzzles. I was very excited when I first heard about this before the release. Artifex Mundi usually provides decent, detailed environments and nice enough atmosphere. That + Tibet = winner. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The game is bland, the story pretty much predictable. Granted, many HOGs are like that. On top of that, this one feels... empty. There are next to no NPCs. That wouldn't be a problem, if the surroundings supported that 'all alone in a forgotten world' atmosphere. This feels and looks like everybody just popped out of the dorm to see the UEFA Cup final and you're the only sad loser who doesn't like footie. When it comes to the Tibet part, the game will let you down. It's as if the devs have looked at exactly 3 pictures of Tibet, extrapolated and cut-and-pasted the rest from old games. The phrase 'winging it' comes to mind. Aside from issues with plot, atmosphere and immersion, this one suffers from annoying (but not game-breaking!) glitches/problems. The clicks don't always register. There are HOS that have two or more same/similar items with only one correct (spoiler:
my fave is the one where you have a living butterfly about 40 pixels above a butterfly brooch with the clue "Butterfly". The insect is not the correct answer.
). The hint is 'not ready yet' despite me having never used it before in my 100 minutes of playing. The same goes for puzzle logic and variety. I think I've found and used about six different axes and pulled another half a dozen stuck objects out from wherever. Sometimes you can break the ice, sometimes you have to melt it, oh wait -- *this* time you can't use the Staff of Melting in your inventory! Not impressed. Is this the worst thing ever? No, absolutely not. But only get this if you have played all the other AM HOGs (even the Time Mysteries!) and can get the game for next to nothing.
INSTALLING NOTHING
While I can't say that the game has something really bad... but it doesn't have anything good either. Another soulless and mediocre product right from the conveyor belt. Primitive story, unremarkable characters, boring and repetitive soundtrack, ridiculously primitive puzzles and even more repetitive HOG scenes. These HOG scenes were s-so lazy and repetitive that initially I thought that I'm catching some deja vu. Like for real, I've already done literally this scene before, didn't I? And this one. And this... Of course it was not deja vu. The game indeed throws literally the same HOGs in your face. There is not a single redeeming quality in this game. Auntsy is kinda cool char and that's kinda it. Thus, you can miss it without any regrets. But if you still want to get it for the collection and trading cards - get it only on some good sale.
Błędy w tłumaczeniu, np. lina (rope) to skakanka, a w innej zagadce szukasz skakanki a napisano lina; albo "słuchawki", a chodzi o... słuchawkę telefonu.
Tibetan Quest Beyond the World's End

GNU/Linux
Je n'ai rencontré aucun problème. OS: Linux Mint 21.2, MATE edition. Hardware : 5950x, AMD RX 6900XT, 64GB ram. Screens : Dualscreen, 1x 4K & 1x 1920x1200, un seul screen X.
Neutral review. I liked the archaeological theme of this game. The artwork was very pretty on every scene. The puzzles and HO scenes were not very challenging but they were still fun. I played on expert. The bonus chapter after you finish the main game concluded the story, so it was worth playing. The things I didn't like were that the voice acting was a bit annoying and the people looked like real people inserted into the game which didn't work well. They would have been better drawn. Notes on achievements: The tutorial only appears in regular gameplay. So once you get through it, quit and start again on a higher difficulty if you prefer. The find 3/5 objects in 3/5 seconds is more like find 4/6 objects in 3 seconds. Just keep trying until you get it. There are many HO scenes to try it on. The collectibles were easy enough to spot and there was almost one on every screen. Look into how many you have and count on the map how many areas you have been to keep track. The game is divided into four sections so there is no return once past each.
