Sad excuse of a game, someone just scattered a bunch of assets across the map, made it into a few of levels and called it a day. The developer was so lazy that they didn't even bother adding achievements for levels above 6.
The game is about 10 minutes long right now. It might be better later but what is there is very basic. Copy pasted dudes who rush the player slowly. This needs a ton of work to be worthwhile. https://youtu.be/RZbLJZyvGNY
Warning: Asset Flip!
Thugs Law is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The Brazilian "developer", Fabio Cunha (aka Sabrina Aridi, apparently they changed their name to try disguise their identity and further mislead gamers), took the Polygon Battle Royale Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Synty Studios, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. Fabio Cunha has a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work. One example of Fabio Cunha doing this is Hidden Object - Sweet Home, which is really the "Hidden Objects game - Starter Kit" asset, written by the actual developers, Allebi Games. The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Polygon Battle Royale" is just a low poly asset pack and basic template/starter kit for making a third person brawler, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have, and make it harder for gamers to find real games from genuine developers. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Fabio Cunha.
very small game, very unfinished even pause menu or quit button is not there.
我是傻子
erhhhh.
相当烂的游戏,就是和一群NPC拼血对砍,难度也只是堆数量,非常SB 怎么好意思卖这种钱,纯属骗钱的,愿这种开发者的游戏全部被下线吧
I would say that the game being in early access would make me go a little softer on the game as it still needs time to be made and the developer must be working hard to implement the new levels that they have envisioned for this game. You can imagine my surprise when this exact same developer has brought out SEVEN games (as of this review) out before giving any sort of major update to this game. The 20 levels that they promised? Not here. As for the graphics they look alright but do give off a sorta 'I bought a unity asset pack and thrown it into a blender with a plethora of other things I have bought.' vibe. I'm of course not accusing the dev of asset flipping but the quality of this game is giving off a lack of care like most 'asset flip' developers. The core gameplay is decent in some parts but dreadful in others. The ai are pretty dumb and easy to kill. This enemies in the first few levels will run as you without a care in the world, some even in a straight line! But when enemies get guns they seem to be able to have some sort of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hacks installed as even when you see the bullet whizz past you it still hits and takes health off. Other than that the game is just very boring and a redesign would be needed. Think of other settings, not just a road with loads of cars for cover and a few turns. Something like the inside of buildings or something along those lines would actually liven up the monotony of playing the exact same bare bones levels. I've played a lot worse on steam but I simply cannot recommend this game in its current state. I spent 57p on this and still feel a little ripped off.
It has some potential but it need some works to have less abrupt movements especially in melee. Also the enemies are dumb and wait for you like as a stone which hurts the immersion.
Not overly good, but not bad cover-based urban combat title. A solid one for a "Meh" option if Valve ever adds that in. Took me 35 minutes to complete the 6 achievement enabled levels and two that were added post-release. When the AI detects you, they pretty much straight line run right at you if melee only enemies and do mild dodging if gun equipped ones. Level 2 is a giant PITA until you clue in it's designed around allowing the enemies to friendly fire melee each other to death. Limited to no replayability. If you're looking for a fairly easy 100%, it's hard to beat Thugs Law.
