Throw Me in the River has a great thought-provoking story that made me go back and reset my choices more than once just to see what other interactions I could experience.
(I love the story Elisabeth tells in the car) :)
The artwork and music do an amazing job tying the mood and story together no matter what choices you make throughout the game. Well done polishing your original game jam concept! I really enjoyed it!
Throw me in the river took me by surprise. The themes explored had me thinking about my childhood, and thinking of family relations I no longer am a part of, some I severed on my own, and others that were severed due to my choices. I don't think I've ever played anything like it, and I don't think I ever will again. I recommend it if you're a fan of visual novels, short games that communicate a theme without being overbearing, and good music.
A thoughtful, nonlinear visual novel about reflection. It's bite-sized but the dialogue choices are enough to make it worth playing more than once.
This is a lovely visual novel type game with a sparse, emotional guitar soundtrack and gorgeous monochromatic art. The characters are well-written and the sci-fi tinge is a nice touch. Good dialogue and great art makes this a solid choice if you're a fan of interactive fiction. Support indie developers!
Throw Me in the River is a charming little visual novel, elevated by its subtle characters and gorgeous artwork.
Throw me in the River is a short visual Novel based on the protagonist's life choices that led mostly to regrets.
I liked the game. It seemed short but I only played it once. It's very artistic and has nice music. The visual elements are nice too. I wanted to play an interesting short game and I found it. It's fun and I think it was worth the price.
Cool, chilled visual novel style game. Nice narrative and gorgeous artwork and music. It found myself empathising with the characters quickly, and the choices made it a fun interactive tool for self-reflection and exploration of the characters emotions. Looking forward to another play through with different choices!
an intimate little set of memories! the end is sort of haunting, and the music fills out atmosphere in each scene to seem like you're with a different "self" of the main character.
A really nice little gem of a game. The artwork and music fit in really well with the overall tone for the game. I was surprised at how quickly I was drawn into the world and even before finishing the game I was giving the characters little extra details in my head. I do love that the game doesn't explicitly explain everything to you but if you've been in some of the situations the characters have been in, that's where you begin fitting in your own little details. I feel quite reflective on stuff in my own life having played this. I recently lost my grandma, we got along but I never felt like we understood each other. I think that's reflected in Joseph's relationship with his daughter a bit. I don't know maybe I'm just projecting. But it was nice that this game felt so personal. I highly recommend it.
