Overall Score : 8.8~8.9/10 From just one route by the way... Maybe y'all askin, why such high score from 1 route !? The reason ?, its simple, it blew my fckin mind, like, from all Snoot Game-like VNs, i played, This one takes the cake, like, gawd damn, the story doesnt feel cheap, each character intriguing enough, although ultimately u need to choose 1 route. This is the only VNs in my entire life, that make me wanna to explore another route after finishing one. Like... the first i wanna enjoy a VN in its entirerity. Artwork ? Its good enough, and i'm satisfied with the quality. The only thing i want, is smoother BGM transition in some part, other than that. GO TRY THIS VN ! I hope the other route not dissapointing. EDIT : FCK U AUTHOR FOR BREAKING THE [redacted] IN THE EXTRAS, IT RUIN THE FANTASY DAMMIT *read this like a compliment*
After seeing everything this VN has to offer, I feel it's fair to update my review now that I've spent more time with it. TL;DR, this is a story well worth one's time, and, as stated in my pre-edit review and seen elsewhere, it has well written characters whose issues go far deeper than just one-dimensional "woe is me" sorts of tropes, likely to the point most viewers will find at least one character to grow fond of in one way or another. To go a bit deeper: After nearly 40 hours (which undoubtedly would have gone over that, had I not just done a speedrun through Max's story a second time for the "See All Routes" achievement, because of course I'd make sure the best girl is who I earned that one with), I can say I've greatly enjoyed my time aboard the DHS Atlantic. Max's, Nila's, and Victoria's routes took me approximately eight hours each to complete between two nights per route, with Eris taking longer only due to a mixture of illness and Christmas keeping me from being able to read through her story for a similar length of time. By contrast, getting through ending 5 only took one sitting, and I'm still gonna admit I earned that one twice in a row while figuring things out before using Nila's route to jot down which options led where. For a $5 VN, that's definitely a good dollar-per-hour entertainment ratio. Unfortunately, as much as I'd love to praise this and move on, I know it's better to be realistic and objective as there are two things readers might take issue with. Firstly, when I'd made my initial review around 7.4 or 7.8 hours in, I'd mentioned what I think were 3 spelling mistakes and at least one grammatical error. Unfortunately, as I continued on, that number ballooned up to 12 spelling errors and another 10 that consist of grammatical and wording errors combined, and that at least accounts for each one I jotted down prior to my illness just before Christmas, meaning there could be more since I didn't give Eris' route a similar level of scrutiny. However, the developer is aware of the issues and is fixing what ones they can find, so those numbers will more than likely lower over time. I also want it to be known I didn't do this sort of scrutiny out of malice, as my literary hobbies have made me - for better or worse - rather vigilant when I start noticing such things. Secondly, the art. Compared to the spelling and grammar, this is a far lesser issue, far as I'm concerned. Simple fact of the matter is the art's quality isn't very consistent, so one's mileage may vary depending on how important that is to a person. To bring back something positive to round out my review, this VN had a relatively similar grip on me as "I Wani Hug that Gator" did, which is to say I immediately wanted to dive right back in after finishing a route. I genuinely wanted to see how each story ended and how each character would live after their journey across the Atlantic, and that's not a feeling I've had regarding a VN for what might be nearly 2 years now. I might come back to this one some day, just to share a journey with these dragonesses again, and to share some more chocolate with Max.
I very much enjoy the story and character interactions, the sprite art is decent I'd say, the backgrounds are very well drawn. Overall a very enjoyable game, looking forward to more games in the future from the development team.
снут гейм, но анон теперь матрос голландского штурвала
It's excellent, I highly recommend it. The characters and story are very good too. And please, developers, make a complete remake/remaster in the future, I'll buy it.
3 separate love interest routes, marvelous art, heartfelt dialogues. What else could you ask for? (aside from some minor grammatical errors & transition bugs, heh)
