Update: the game went through a complete redesign and now includes proper backgrounds, unique assets for each puzzle, and a more connected puzzles. There is no story or lore, only 35 puzzles that must be completed in order. When you click on a puzzle number, you are taken to a screen with a bunch of tiles and numbers that do not make any sense. Your task is to determine what to click on and how to interact with objects. You will not be introduced to the mechanics or goals, but the game's name indicates what you should focus on. The solutions to each puzzle relate around the numbers three, six, and nine. Solutions include more than just numbers; they also include words and shapes related to the three numbers. Once you comprehend the basic premise, the puzzles are not that difficult. For example, you have to set months, planets, or time to tie to the three numbers. The puzzles become increasingly difficult after a while, but there is a helpful hint system that almost gives the solution. There is also a skip option for tasks that need manual skills. The user interface is not very good. The background is always the same, and the problems are not solved until you click the lock icon. This means that you could have the correct solution but miss it because you did not click on the icon.
369 is a puzzle game that revolves around solving unique challenges using the numbers three, six, and nine. With 35 distinct levels, the game aims to offer a variety of creative mechanics for players to explore. However, despite its intriguing concept, the execution leaves much to be desired.
Pros:
- creative mechanics - every level introduces a new and unique gameplay mechanic, showcasing the developer's creativity
Cons:
- unpolished visuals - the game doesn’t look particularly appealing, the graphics feel dated and lack refinement and while this doesn’t ruin the gameplay, it does make the overall experience less pleasant - crashes on level 11 - repeated crashes on the same level are incredibly frustrating, leaving you wondering if it’s even worth trying to play the game again - inconsistent difficulty - some levels are ridiculously easy, while others are unintuitive and unnecessarily hard, and there’s no clear difficulty curve - limited skips - you can only skip specific levels, so if you’re stuck and the hint doesn’t help, you’re sometimes left with no options but to quit 369 has some clever ideas and variety in its puzzles, but technical issues and inconsistent difficulty make it hard to recommend. If you’re hoping for a polished and satisfying puzzle game that you can dive into without interruptions, this might not be the one for you. As it stands, 369 feels unfinished, and unless significant improvements are made, it’s tough to recommend. Video: https://youtu.be/60Wwa76za3g It's an interesting puzzle game. The UI is a little on the difficult to side to navigate, and ultimately I think I was only able to complete something like 12 of the puzzles. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with the blocks and the power. I tried a few things, none of them seemed to work and there were no hints. I just couldn't figure out what to do. Other than that the puzzles were mostly pretty logical and decently designed. I skipped a few because I wasn't a huge fan of them, but for the most part I thought the puzzles were well made.
This game has a lot of potential, but it could use a lot of improvements like better UI, navigation, proper sound settings etc. What it does have though, is decent amount of interesting puzzles revolving around the numbers 3,6,9. I think with a few updates this game can be a lot more appealing.
6/10 A collection of puzzles where you guess the rules TLDR: the gameplay here is in guessing the rules/goal in every mini-puzzle. Once you guess what's required from you, the solution is usually trivial. Or you can just press the "Hint" button to get the rules told to you. The puzzles always revolve around finding numbers 3, 6, and 9. As you complete the minigames, you have a Sokoban-like pushing metagame on top. Finally, there are extra levels of Sokoban-like puzzles with 2 cats on 2 boards moving in sync. Good: + there are several dozens of levels here and each has a unique task. It's like about 50 minigames, even if each of them is very simple + funny meow sounds, and a funny micro-story with a cat + extra Sokoban levels with cats are actually pretty interesting (even though their difficulty seems to not be increasing linearly), even more interesting than the rest of the game. Maybe they would deserve to have more meaning in the game So-so: +/- once you understand a puzzle, it's usually so easy to solve that there isn't even any feeling of satisfaction +/- many puzzles depend on your knowledge of facts. E.g. that you know the ordering of planets in the Solar System (most likely you do). Or that you know Morse code (mostly likely you don't). The hint for Morse code level actually just shows you the solution... +/- gfx are pixelated and are a mix of fairly well-drawn objects and overly simple flat fills. Given the variety of puzzles and the single use of most of the images, I can understand why the devs would have trouble drawing so much stuff. I guess the minigames should have been designed with more re-use in mind. As it is, presentation is pretty uneven. It's still okay for a student project, though probably not as much for a paid game. Had this all had more humor in it, it could work. But it's only the starting cutscene that's funny here... Bad: - no sounds in the sokoban levels - extra levels with sokoban cats end abruptly, this feels like a bug. Should have had "happy cat" animation or something

[th]I'm a Steam curator, you can follow me[/th]

5/10. A mobile port to be sure, but 100% playable on a desktop. Each puzzle involves finding something that represents the numbers 3, 6, and 9 in a set of objects, for example months of the year, and selecting just those 3 items from among some distractors. Each level is fairly different, and I did enjoy some of the puzzles, although some are painfully obvious. Conversely, some are inscrutable. There are hints which can make up for this. Out of generosity to a first time dev I'm rating this thumbs up, but really it's a toss-up.
the game have improved tremendously it have introduced some new bugs after the update for example in the clock puzzles i will say that this is an interesting game but lacks in certain areas
Game 369 channels retro arcade fun from the '80s and '90s with vibrant puzzles and snappy gameplay. It's a breezy throwback that conjures nostalgia, though some might crave deeper challenges.
