There Is Nothing There

Very odd game! You walk around and act according to the prompts. Initially had issues with the narration subtitles only being in Russian. Kept clicking around the language settings on my second screen and somehow got the subtitles and text set to English. Slightly clunky mechanics and movement. Not always the most responsive. A true indie game. Not the best graphics and not truly scary, more creepy with the odd jumpscare. With essentially no guides to be found for this game, played through somewhat blindly and clumsily. Which, added its own charm to it. Surprisingly quick to finish. Eerie story, activities and overall vibe. But had me invested from the start. A lot left unsaid within the narrative. Super interesting experience overall. Would say the game needs work in ironing out the kinks, and I think it needs more. More levels to play through, more activities, more backstory. I expected to be immersed in the narrative for weeks to months. Still, a mostly enjoyable experience, tinkering around a game I had no real clue what was going on in was a uniquely trailblazing experience I didn't expect to have.
