old and good HOG. a good time killer

Gorgeous art, good story, clever puzzles and some very smart sound design? Yes please. Would absolutely recommend for anyone who wants a more autumn-friendly Hidden Object game.

This was a really enjoyable HOP game. The graphics/artwork as well as the story line were what drew me in. HO puzzles held a level of difficulty that I haven't seen in awhile and it wasn't riddled with them all over the game either. The bonus game is short but a good continuation of the game. I would have loved for the game to have been longer, I enjoyed it that much and would definitely play more games by this developer if they made more like this one.

The plot is indeed absurd :P very atmospheric, combination of point & click & hidden object, I didn't hate it, made before ESG ruined everything.

Very average as hidden object games go. The adventure aspect is far too easy, as every time you find a puzzle you are pretty much handed the solution immediately. Even on expert mode there is no penalty for taking too long or clicking on the wrong thing. Some confusing objects - a swan not accepted as a 'white bird' for example. The bonus content adds a couple of puzzles but it does't make the story any clearer. The theming is kind of all over the place. The demonic theatre idea would have been enough, but this is also a European-style Gothic cathedral with an ancient Egyptian tomb underneath?! Some of the art is really nice, but the demon looks rather silly. For beginners only I think.

The game is rather short; it took 2.7 hours on Expert difficulty with no usage of in-game help mechanisms. The story could be more fleshed out. There are some interesting ideas but they fall short, or perhaps seems that way in late 2021.
