I had the pleasure of reviewing this game for RPGFan.com, so if you want more in-depth, go check it out. That said, this games sticks with you, in my opinion. It's so easy to enjoy that "just one more turn" hook. It feels like you're a DM, sending a party out on adventures to discover new stories and such, but you're also managing a town to support those parties. It has so much going on gameplay-wise to engage you. The combat and challenges being card-based keeps it really fast, light, and fun, and offers a lot of strategy. The amount of skills is overwhelming, remembering what affects what condition, but with a few playthroughs, you start to pick it up. What really sells me is the flavour, too. It's been really cool getting steeped in that Nordic/Scandinavian lore and mythos, but presented with some fun tongue-in-cheek by the narrator. While it feels "simple" graphically, it's still a well-textured and designed game, and any system can handle it. Love the character artwork in this, and item design work. When I reviewed it, I'd played it on Switch (got it for free there but loved it so much I bought it and the sequal on Steam immediately after), which was good (though the UI isn't as friendly to a controller), but if that's your only option, you won't be disappointed. That said, it's definitely best on a computer with a mouse. Anyways, take a chance on this one and lose hours of your life to a fun time!
