The World Named Fred

Plays a bit like a story by Yahtzee Croshaw. It's short, it stops in the middle of the story, it's ~2 hours unless you need to redo stuff a lot, and it somehow can't decide if it's an adenture or an RPG - it feels like an adventure, but it has a combat system, but it's too simple to be taken seriously and a bit annoying as a result. The 3D modeling looks like a child did it, the controls feel like a child did them, the story is weird and wonderful. It works, it's fun, what more can I say?

Ich kann absolut nicht verstehen, wie dieses Spiel so unbekannt sein kann - so wenige Wertungen bis jetzt bekommen haben kann. Das Spiel ist was ganz besonderes, für den Preis kann man es geradezu als "Perle" bezeichnen. Die Steuerung ist einfach, die Optik an sich zwar nichts Neues (Klötzchen-Style kennen wir mittlerweile ja wirklich alle), aber die Dialoge, die Story und die Handlung sind einfach sowas von abgedreht, dass jeder, der unvorhersehbare Spiele mag, seinen Spaß daran haben wird! Ich wiederhole mich: Ihr müsst es abgefahren mögen. Dieses Spiel ist voller Anspielungen an Minderheiten, Parodien, Satire, WTF-Momente. Ich habe wirklich schon einige Male lachen müssen. :) Also, wer ein unterhaltsames Game sucht, das sich mal etwas hervorhebt - und das für kleines Geld, ist hier richtig! Empfehlung!

Bought this years ago as a kid, didn't get through it. Then I found it in my library years later and tried it and I loved it. I hope there will be more of this story in a way or some form

Running through woods, squirrel falls out of the sky, stab with pointy stick: WIN. But really, fantastic game, immersive story and humorous but enjoyable combat. [spoiler] EXCEPT THAT FREAKIN SPIDER-BOT, SCREW THAT GUY.[/spoiler]If you want a great but short game and can afford $4 USD it is your type of game. Still waiting on book 2, because I am DYING to know what happens next. 8.7/10 EDIT: Also, I forgot. The best part is NOT playing "the chosen one." It's very refreshing as a concecpt.

Weird, charming, simple little first-person adventure game with combat that consists of smacking people in the face with sticks and a nonsensical fantasy world. Decent way to kill a couple of hours, looking forward to the next part.

A cute short game that had some humor to it. I appreciate the work that went into it. It may not be the fanciest looking game out there but it has its charm. It is only the first chapter so hopefully it gets more to it.

Frikin great game with great adventure and story, although, when will the sequel come out?
