The artstyle was incredible and the mechanics so much fun! I also love how it's also included a way to play even if you don't have a microphone. The soundtrack was absolutely stunning and the story and message left me crying a little bit at the end, overall 10/10 I loved it sm

one of the best games ive ever played is such a touching tribute it almost brought me to tears
I wasn't expecting this level of oof. This is a very simple, very beautiful, very little game. It respects your time, then hits you right in the gut in the best possible wayy.
The Wind and the Wisp is a very good and atmospheric adventure game and it's published by USC Games the same people that have published games like Lake Minnewaska and Smoke Break, but like my last review about a USC Games I really can’t go into the story without spoiling it, so you just play as a little ghost who's on an adventure. Now likes, the story is very good it's pretty simple, but it has a good sense of environmental storytelling and I love the themes of melancholy, finding peace, fixing what's broken and doing what you can. The gameplay is pretty good, it’s pretty simple you go around using wind to solve light puzzles and picking up flowers, nothing too complicated. The graphic art style is very good and beautiful with its colors, designs and visual just stands out and paints a dreamy atmosphere, I also really love the watercolor opening and ending it just compliments the art style and fits the dreamy quality of this game. The levels are all very good each one stands out and it's just a joy to look at it and it's quite diverse, we got a little desert to a garden to even a little lake with lily pads. The music is very good with plenty of great track to listen too. The atmosphere is very good dreamy quality that makes you feel relaxed. Now this is why I talked about the dislikes, but really there isn't anything to dislike about this game it's perfect. Alright then with that all done The Wind and the Wisp is a very good and atmospheric adventure game and it's published by USC Games the same people that have published games like Lake Minnewaska and Smoke Break, it has a very good story, pretty good gameplay and very good graphic art style, so like with other games published by USC Games I recommend this one, it's free so you won't be hurting your wallet.
A cute and short little game. Works fine in linux. Can be used without allowing mic access & using only keyboard. I give it 10 dandilions out of 10. Had to play through 3x in order to get all achievements, but it wasn't until the final playthrough that it kinda clicked what the game was about, and what I was seeing. It literally took me to the edge and the over it ... because I found a "hole" in the folliage where I could slip through, and then found the edge of the map and when over the edge of the map. So... below is my interpretation and some thoughts I had on the game, including some philosophical stuff. What follows may help ... or could ruin it ... but I doubt there are really any "spoilers" regardless. I noticed on my 3rd playthrough, that the animation in the beginning kinda gives a backstory and a preview of what's coming.... because we see the flower become encased in stone. The game is dedicated to someone who has passed from this life, and I think the game kinda represents life, or that persons life, in a lot of ways. The character you play (spirit/ghost ... "wisp?") is entering life and invites us (you) to come along. "Wisp" finds a beautiful, mysterious, and kinda broken world and as "Wisp" goes through, "Wisp" has some fun, makes things generally better, more beautiful, and less broken. There's a place near the end where "Wisp" can sit on a swing and look out over "life" and see the beauty that's there.... you can miss it if you're not careful, but it's one of the Achievements" so if you want 100% achievements, you'll need to know. At the end of the game, as with life, we all leave something behind, and hopefully can help others once we're gone... and Wisp does that. As we leave, we revisit the places we went and the things we did (it's how I found out I missed the swing, btw) and the credits roll. Going through my 3rd playthrough with the ideas I just gave above in mind.... the game gave me chills and really moved me in a profound and powerful way. I almost always love Berkley & USC Games, but I think this was one of the best they've made, especially with its simple yet profound message. Yeah, I got the game for free, because we all can, but my message is from MY heart, and I hope it adds to your life and game-play, too. #mishaguyas
