the wide open sky is running out of catfish is a mouthful to say but i can one hundred percent recommend this game for you to play. my only gripe with it was i had to turn the pixelation filter off in the menu. there is literally nothing else about it i can boo. the main gameplay loop, you combine clouds to spawn fish and take pictures of them while doing that, there are many characters for you to complete their quests the story, characters, and dialogue are cute and thoughtful, this game is a hidden gem it really resonated with me, and i highly recommend checking it out, i can attest
We greatly enjoyed the story in this game. It is a very meaningful sort of melancholy, an exploration of themes of death and appreciation for living that pairs well with the bright atmosphere. Though the core of the story is not particularly novel, it defines itself with a very honest execution supported by memorable characters and a unique setting, and kept us thoroughly invested throughout the game. The main gameplay loop alternates between flying around a magic serpent to turn clouds into fish, then photographing those fish in order to spawn more clouds. Gameplay and story work together perfectly, with story moments both feeling like a natural part of the gameplay and being interspersed in a way that encourages you to take your time while also not forcing you to stay longer than desired. Watching the sky change from empty to teeming with life is such a treat and complements the story wonderfully. A beautiful experience that strikes a perfect balance between whimsy and deep emotions.
I wish I had a catfish to lay upon in real life. It's beautiful up there :*)
A truly wonderful and cozy game about creating and photographing fish with a story that is much better than I would have expected it to be. The visuals and gameplay are relaxing and this truly is a fantastic game for anyone who is trying to destress. I am quite confused as to why it is such a small title as this deserves to be much more popular than it is.
This is an amazing game! I love cozy games where you take pictures of fish flying through the sky and solve little puzzles.
such a delightful experience up here in the sky with my big catfish and other friends :^) i am having so much fun with this game and it makes me feel so warm and happy inside, i highly recommend it only thing is that i wish it had some motion sickness accessibility features! controlling the sea serpent makes me feel a little dizzy at times
I have yet to finish this game, but I just have to say it has been a breathtaking experience the entire way. It has so much depth and character, and genuine emotion, while still being actually fun to play. The art is also very beautiful, and I adore Catfish. Thank you guys for making this! I will update my thoughts when I finish the game...I have just loved it so much so far I can't wait to see what's next :)
Wow such a cool game. So peaceful and chill , with a dash of humor. Just the right amount of difficulty. Great characters, great message, loved the music, You actually do have some control over how the game progresses. Non linear. Really fun achievements if that's your thing. Just delightful.
extremely heartwarming and cozy game
Damn, what a special game. AI will never be able to make something like this. This is a meditation on the impermanence of everything around us -- to embrace that our rivers will run their course and to hold tight to what we love most along our way. PSA: I did get stuck on one kinda obtuse puzzle, so learn from my mistake and
just interact with the seal with nothing in your hand, don't try to feed it, thank me later.
