Very fun!
This isn't going to be a game for everyone, but then no game is. I just want to say that there are echoes of so many games that I have enjoyed over decades of gaming, mixed together to make a wonderful, unique game. There's a slow pace to it that I greatly enjoy. Is it frustrating at times? Yep. However that just makes the feeling even sweeter when you accomplish your goal. I would like to thank the devs for their hard work on this game and look forward to seeing where the journey takes us.
They tried their best but the R*cists stopped them.

Schlechteste Übersetzung, Spiel macht absolut keinen Spaß und ist grottig. Derzeit viel zu Teuer für das, was man bekommt.
Not really early access, but not alpha anymore. The combat is a pain. Slow round based combat, with emphasis on slow. Unbalance in the way that those that played in the alpha have a huge, real huge knowledge advantage, since the ingame help is not worth mentioning and completly insufficient. I predcit that the gap between old players and new players will grow and grow making the game unattractive for new players.
Release December 2023 Servers shut down in May 2024 [strike]My first impression is that there is LOTS of content already but it could use some polish and quality improvements. I like the game so far! 6,3 hrs might not be enough time to write a full review but I encourage you to give The Wagadu Chronicles a try :) I recommend checking the discussion for critical aspects and decide yourself. Update 1, 10,7 hrs: I now understand the game mechanics better and improved my skills as well in crafting as in fighting. First roleplay-moment: met two fellow players on an island and after playing some time side by side we started to form a society. Three people are needed to form a society and together we can claim the island for our society. This will allow us to improve the buildings. The ghost of the island, Waka, who allowed us to claim the island, wants us to sacrifice stuff or it will leave after three days. As soon as the society forming process is successful, we will see how we can proceed.[/strike]
man. really wanted to like this one. kickstarted early. gave a pretty penny too. followed through the alpha. the beta. joined the discord... the ideas here are great. finally, an afro centric rpg. but the gameplay is just abysmal. like, worse than runescape. and then, y'know, they shut down the servers after less than a year. hopefully someone tries something like this again in the future, but does it well actually.
I have over 130 hours on this game, I bought it early, and played it early. The community was nice and I had fun while it lasted. It was essentially a sort of "Runescape-y" experience, but with a pre-colonial African culture-inspired fantasy theme. The devs bit off more than they could chew, and some aspects of the people behind the game still irk me, but all in all I'm just left disappointed this could never take off. A "tip" for anybody out there in indie development: don't you EVER introduce an early access game with many rough edges and mechanical issues AND at the same time, a FULLY FUNCTIONAL MICROTRANSACTION SHOP. Ever.
Its still early access but i love the potential of African MMO fantasy games and it has a great art style.
the vision the creators had did not align with their technical capabilities
