Definitely still early access, but very promising, and already does a lot of what other VTTs do
Wow. To be clear, this is a Virtual Table-Top (VTT) for the Table-Top Role Playing Game (TTRPG) "Draw Steel." This product contains the entire rules-text of the game in the Journals, and it contains multiple other texts that have been successfully crowdfunded and added to the license. It really can functionally replace the Core Rulebooks. If you have no idea what any of that all means, this 'game' is almost certainly not for you. TTRPGs are really fun, but you should definitely know what they are first -- they aren't for everyone; please go look them up. Maybe look up Critical Role, or Dungeons and Dragons; Shadowdark, or Call of Cthulhu. Just make sure you know what in the world we're talking about here. Otherwise: I would consider buying this (very carefully, though) even if you don't have friends who also want to use this tool for the game. It has an amazing Map-building Tool Suite, astounding ability integration, personally coded in-game redstone tech (e.g: logic switches that drive in-game interactions,) and the full text* of multiple Draw Steel books. You can't very easily port any of the in-game materials to another TTRPG system, so I don't advocate it for that. But if you're interested in Draw Steel, It's as close to a one-stop-shop for Draw Steel products as we are likely to ever get. *as far as I know. Don't @ me.

The best actual VTT ever made. Legitimately. Draw Steel will eclipse D&D because of this.
Best VTT out there. The only one that is Purpose built, and the only one that is under GOOD CARE from the devs
Just keeps getting better. Wish it didn't need to be a Steam Key for Players. I'm OK spending $100 to let 5 people play, but I'm not OK with spending $100 for EACH 5 specific people that wanted to play, maybe, just once but as the Patreon mentioned, it's the "first class" experience they are selling not the default "online play" experience. Can use Foundry VTT for the one offs. Since it's the same program and there's no DM/Player distinction careful running people through Delian Tomb since the players will have access to the full adventure but it's still nice it's included!
for less than £20 for what feels like a finished product that has a solid abundance of content in it with more to come feels like an absolute steal. Verisim and MCDM delivering S-tier content as per usual.
Refunded - (for now): However; Draw Steel is a neat VTT and system for the small amount of time I had hands on - my review isn't going to talk about the system really since I bought it to look at a VTT alternative and easy of access. My main gripe is the UI/UX. The UI/UX is awful in my opinion, it reeks of low quality and was a pain in the ass to navigate. The bolded font plus white highlight made everything blur together and was an annoyance to navigate, some text went outside their border, images too large or non existent. Literally the only issue is that the UI/UX is horrid, if they just changed the font and made things a bit more spaced out and more clear to read, then it would have been fine. I do plan on rebuying the product at some point once I get a party going, but as of right now the UI is just a pain to navigate for me. However; I do still recommend this as an alternative to D&D Beyond - Though lets be real, its hard to beat Beyond simply because it has a multi million dollar corpo behind it and professionals working on it to maintain ease of use/access. etc. this is just me saying if you don't want to support WoTc, then give this a try or something like Fantasy Grounds VTT or even Foundry VTT if you're balling in cash.
This is the best VTT out there for a game. It is a great time playing Draw Steel with the Codex and getting to see all the effects and sounds. The pop ups for critical hits, villain actions, Hesitation is Weakness, is all really cool. The updates that happen are also, great. I loved the ones for the Player Stats at the end of a combat as they were super helpful for seeing the Heroes Recoveries at the end of the battle, and other fun trivia. It really makes the experience of playing online so cool and very fun.
Amazing platform even while still in developement, trying out the system with it for the first time is super inmersive and makes the new experience feel like a mix between a TTRPG and an actual video game! Can't wait till my Summoner has all the bells and whistles it's missing, like actual minion tokens with art and such ^^.
Clearly a labor of love. The constant updates are amazing. No subscription garbage. DRAW STEEL CODEX VTT just gets better and better. I am amazed
