Reviews

A game where you are... God. And you have to basically micro-manage your civilization (the nuggets). Pros: - It seems very simple at first, maybe even too simple - As you progress, the number of tasks increase - You are alerted/notified when something important happens - There is a tech-tree - The narrator makes often ironic or sarcastic comments - You have to take care of all sorts of need the nuggest have - You will, in time, basically control a planet - how awesome is that! - Random/funny evens happen out of nowhere Cons: The tech-tree is basically one long string - not like eg. Civilization, where, if you did not spread out, you would significantly fall behind - The construction and god-power menu, even in high resolutions, have stacked menus - so you have to press to get to the next tab of buildings in order to see them (WHY - when there is plenty of space?!) - Random/funny evens happen out of nowhere
(I was in the Stone Age - out of nowhere a barn pops up, and then at some point, a group walks from it, turn on their laser pointers, and builds a space shuttle - why? Don't know!(
- You are CONSTANTLY notified about random and non-essential events - basically constant "ding", "bip", "dut", "boing" - The narrators jokes are fun... In the start. But after listening to his same old jokes for an hour
"Are you sure, you are doing that right?" "Do you really want to take care of the nuggets?", "Oh, so this is how you want to destroy the planet!"
it does not just get repeatetive but annoying! - You basically have to micromanage the nuggets - not the "the civilization will develop in random ways, depending on some of the things you do to them" as the developers gave the impression, that the game would be like. - The construction-menu is poorly made - as in "Here is a task for you to do - build this building..." ... - Sure, but where is it?! If you want a "strategy" god game, where there is likely no randomness to, how you civilization develops, I guess this is a fun game... If you can stand up to the constant notifications,, and the narrators spiky humor. - Otherwise, if you do really want to play it, I strongly encourage you to turn off the sound and play some music in the background instead
Great game/ Although issues remain and work could still be done to improve and expand the game for more value and replaying value. Wonderful game for on sale and the game it is bundled with looks particularly interesting. I would recommend, especial in said bundle.
After experiencing my first world of this game, I find the concept and atmosphere to be quite enjoyable. Although it can become blurry or slow frames at times, it is still fun and enjoyable graphics. I love the concept and idea of building up your civilization over time. However, I don't enjoy that things such as god points, and what world size you want, are only usable if you make it to modern time by keeping your people alive. After playing nearly three hours, I almost made it to medieval age before gigantic tentacles ripped out of the ground and murdered my ENTIRE civilization. This was really upsetting because I didn't even have enough god points to protect my people and the tentacle attacking event was 20 minutes long in game duration. This was really upsetting and now I have to restart after all my hard work. The tentacles felt like a boss fight that I had no clue nor anticipation to prepare for. I enjoy the game, but make it easier and more enjoyable.
Really entertaining game for about 20 hours.
