The Tower of Beatrice

The Tower of Beatrice was a fun but occasionally frustrating puzzle adventure game. The game leans more towards the point-and-click style than the exploration focused games like Myst. Most of the puzzle areas are fairly contained, and using objects from your inventory is key. Most of the puzzles were good, but I occasionally hit some that utterly baffled me. I needed a guide for those, because I was never going to guess that. The setting and plot were amusing backdrops for the adventure. I enjoyed the surreal characters you meet along the way, and the final room made me laugh. Overall I enjoyed my time traversing the tower, but I recommend being willing ot check a guide if you get stumped.

Day 4 in the Tower. I tried to close the application to go to work, but the auto-save system reminded me that real-world employment is temporary, but room progress is fleeting. I am now trying to explain to my boss that I cannot log into the morning meeting because I am currently negotiating with a snail and a drunk cactus. Send help. Or a walkthrough... [b]Jokes aside:[/b] If you love classic escape rooms, chaotic inventory puzzles, and getting completely lost in a fantasy labyrinth, this game is a masterpiece.

I really wanted to like this game but the puzzles is sometimes hard to understand. But my breaking point is where I can't rotate the lines they want you to turn and it stands NOWHERE what to press. I tried every key on my keyboard for with no result.

I enjoyed the game after I found both a text an a YouTube walkthrough. If there are enough clues available to solve the puzzles, I couldn't find them, so I had to rely on the walkthrough. But the walkthroughs weren't always enough since they left out parts which I then had to figure out for myself. With all of this said, I enjoyed passing the time with this game.
