The game cannot be launched from the main menu. It's either completely broken, or falsely claims Index support. The menu does not register any of the button clicks on the Index controllers, so you can't either start the game or exit it by the application's own means. Tried alternative controller mappings to no avail.
The atmosphere in this game was incredible. The Station very much felt like a lived in place. The sound design was also great along with the overall game aesthetic. This is a narrative driven puzzle game with a somewhat dark story. It's not a horror game but is more of a mystery thriller as you explore different parts of The Station and try to piece together what went wrong. The voice acting was well done which goes a long ways towards bringing the characters to life. I'm usually able to figure out the twist in most games long before they come but I have to admit, this one surprised me. I got it done in about 2 hours but your play through could be longer depending on how long it takes you get thru the puzzles. Definitely recommend if you're into narrative sci-fi VR games.
Hand tracking was laggy, but this is a little gem of an indie game if you like story-focused walking-simulators wih a few puzzles. The tragic story of the crew, the immersion of the tech on board the station - they added so much. There are a few minor jump scares, but overall, I'd recommend it even to the faint of heart - just steel yourself for some darkness and implied danger.
The Station is a great game and an excellent story. Cannot get the VR version of the game to function properly. I love the game and have no ill will towards the devs. Sometimes things just don't work out I suppose.
No orientation in control system!!! That means that "forward" is always a different controller movement direction. Also, on index and WMR, my hands just keep on going dancing around the room opening doors on their own. The devs obviously didn't try this before releasing it. the above makes it unplayable. It is REALLY broken.
***EDIT*** quest 2 DOESN't WORK on airlink - same shaky hands isssue as virtual desktop - happens randomly so can slog through shakiness but really annoying- such a shame . It is a fun little red matter like game. would love it to work smoothly
Don't bother. VR motion interface is totally unintuitive and there are very few options to customise it. For me controls were so junky it was barely playable. Like someone mentioned textures are very low res and unpleasant to look at. Don't be fooled by the screenshots, the game doesn't look like that. There are NO graphical options what so ever. Controlers sometimes lagged so bad that I was feeling like I was in slow motion. I refunded the game. I don't know anything about the original but this port is crap. It made me unlist the original since the devs have made so low effort vr port of the game.
