Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 8 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

"The State of Nowhere" is a casual single-player simulation game set in a totalitarian state, where you take on the role of a state employee responsible for providing food to the citizens. It will be your responsibility to control and decide who will be able to receive their food.
In this game, you will experience:
🧍 Human and moral decisions with real consequences
📆 Day-based progression, with income and family management at the end of each day
🔁 Extremely high replayability with 46 unique endings
♾️ Four distinct game modes, including an endless mode
🎭 A satirical dystopian world inspired by real-world societies

Congratulations!
You have secured a job at the food distribution center in the state of Nowhere! A country where the new authorities seek to subjugate the population under their control, heavily restricting access to food.
In your role as employee 100411, you will process customers' food purchases at your station. Controlling, through the mechanisms provided by the state, that the customer's documentation and the products they buy are valid.
But BEWARE! Forgers, alcoholics, robbers, thieves, wanted criminals, drug addicts, the poor – all of them will seek, by any means, to access the food. Your task will be to keep them at bay. ARREST civilians, become a subject to the regime, or REBEL... But ALL decisions have consequences.
Will you enforce the prohibitions while the poor starve? Or will you let them tug at your heartstrings and turn a blind eye?
And remember, under the new food reorganization program, you must strictly adhere to regulations, lest you suffer the consequences. The state of Nowhere does not tolerate sentimentality.
All those employees who serve the state exceptionally will be blessed by our honorable president, Maligno.

I dare say this is even better than the original Paper's Please, so many rules, so many endings and achievements and that amazing feeling of finishing a day with no mistakes despite all the things to make sure is absolutely correct. Of of if not the only cashier game to force you to calculate the change yourself (though you can upgrade it to calculate change for you). I've been playing on what I think is the normal difficulty level and you get about 3 minutes per person, there's endless mode too. Try out the demo, it's wonderful as well.
Love games like this, and this one definitely scratches that same itch as Papers, Please. Will be playing this one for quite a while.

I haven‘t played it that long yet but so far it‘s really great. It feels like a new Papers please with more features. Like I‘ve been playing it for about 2h and there is so much stuff to do already. It‘s great.
10.5 hrs in and I barely scratched the surface. Tons of content to unlock, you definitely get your money's worth with this one and so much more.
It's just Paper's Please, but with even more stuff. There are some things I think it does worse, like needing to check if their ID is valid, THEN you can actually see the contents of it. With that said, it's minor issues at best an absolutely is worthwhile if you liked Paper's Please.
Long live Maligno!
Glory to the great Maligno!
Loved Papers Please, so when i played the demo I instantly fell in love. Great game so far cant wait for updates and future stories !
Enjoyable like papers please. I'm shocked this game has so few reviews though.
