Super short but I enjoyed it.
Well, that was unexpected! Thanks for this little appetizer for everything that comes up, I hope. I enjoyed it and am really looking forward to Act 2!
Canning Kasabası, 1880. Thames nehrinin kıyısına bağlı dar bir tekne duruyor. İçeride, şövale başında duran bir ressam Mecdelli Meryem'in figürünü yapıyor. Hafif bir skor çalarken rahatlatıcı bir boyama oyununun tadını çıkarın.

I backed the original game years ago. Found this randomly. Return to the world of Slaughter was unexpected but delightful.
Before I played The Slaughter: Magdalene, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Oh - that was short
Nice and chill
"The Slaughter: Magdalene" is is not a game. It's an advertisement disguised as a full game, and you're expected to go pay for "The Slaughter: Act One" after seeing this advert for it. This is misleading, a shady way to market a for-profit product, and misleading gamers for profit is wrong. The product this is advertising,The Slaughter: Act One isn't even a full game either (wow, who publishes an advertisement for an incomplete game) and the developer isn't making the rest of that game, he started on other projects, because polluting Steam with unfinished garbage is the favourite pastime of amateur "developers". Worse, it's not even close to a decent game... a pixelcrap Secret of Monkey Island made with the drag and drop Construct construction kit, and removing the comedy theme for a Victorian painting theme... well, it's 10 year old garbage that was overwhelming rejected by gamers. But this isn't The Slaughter: Act One, it's just an ad for it. If you really like adverts, you can get them for free on Youtube, in your browser... heck even online streaming video subscriptions have ads now. Why download and install another advertisement? Instead of following the Official Steamworks Process For Demos, the developer decided to pollute Steam with for-profit advertising. Whether this is deliberate and malicious, or simply ignorance and incompetence, the result is deceptive marketing. This is bad for gamers and bad for genuine developers who do the right thing, because they have to compete for visibility against these misleading advertisements. That's not okay! The goal here is to get you to spend $6 USD on The Slaughter: Act One. I don't recommend you get suckered, or reward these kinds of shady, deliberately misleading marketing practices. They're harmful to everyone. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Let's talk about pricing and the actual value this has for gamers. As an advertisement, this is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's important to understand there's a formal process to create a demo/page for a game which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an innocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers. Often developers may choose to incorrectly publish demo/advertisements as separate games as a cheap way to bypass paying Valve for marketing presence on the Steam front page, which may seem clever to them, but it's harmful behaviour and it's not good for gamers. Even as a free game, this couldn't find an audience. With a peak of only 2 players, it's clear the Steam community took one look and walked away. They literally couldn't pay people to spend time playing this. Advertisements and incorrectly published demos don't add +1 to your game collector count, they aren't full games. It's impossible for me to recommend this incorrectly published advertising spam to gamers, you deserve better than adverts.
