It's an excellent game, with a very good decision-making system that makes you feel like it is your own story. The only thing that I might change is that you have to restart the whole story if you want to chose something else (Its isn't very convenient when you chose something you didn't want by mistake hahah). There is also no way to reread the previous pages. Also, it would be awesome if you put some other languages too, like spanish. Anyways, It's a beautiful game that I really recommend. I'll look forward to the second book!
I enjoyed first half of the story, This has very interesting universum which I would like to get to know more but as it is story end at cliffhanger without further potential of development. RO are not very likeable or more like we didn't get to know them enough to really develop something deeper. I got at times similar vibes to Wayhaven but Its quite sad that story potential was wasted at second half and what characters are doing was really strange.
Note: This is only Book I there will be a Book II later TLDR: Love the characters and found the world building interesting Only have done one playthrough so far, but I like it. Interesting characters and character interactions, interesting world building, and lots of choices I want to explore in my next playthroughs. The characters have a lot of personality which I loved interacting with, can't wait to explore the relationships with each one. Edit: I've now done 4 playthroughs. Basic plot is similar but events can change quite a bit so good replayability there. I'm loving the different ways you can romance the characters and love all the characters
This book/game has a great potential. A pity that it is not polished. The end seem to be rushed. Character development (in terms of skills) don't matter at all. Well yeah romance options are quite amusing. Yet overall despite the interesting lore and noice romance options, it is not worth it. Well it is supposed to have sequels and stuff but, still... Besides, you don't even know what each faction (or person) aims. They all want to use you and you don't even know why. Its like giving a button that may destroy the whole world to a tribal. There's no way for him to know what that button does so he just listens 3 guys randomly lying him or trying to convince him to give thta button to him to use it for their own sake. Not knowing their purposes may be used to create a sense of suspense but still, there should've been some other ways of finding out what each faction aims. That probably will be explained at book2 tho. My advice? Wait till book2. Edit: my first review was a thumbs down. Yet now that i get to think of it, this game actually does what is wants to just fine. A different idea yes, but still it is the style of this game... 2. Edit: there rre many different ways in which the story can progress. So far these "diversions" i have manged to find are not many but they damn well make the story interesting. Also you get to experience the stroy from the views of the characters who you choose to" romance i think. Well rn its definately a thumbs up.
It's decent. More than a few times I felt like there was an option left out that I SHOULD have been able to choose, but otherwise the choices were fine. I feel like maybe making the choices a little more mature as opposed to sounding a little teenage would be better. The "shadowman" interactions through book 1 as well as the "insurgents" were almost impossible to tell who to trust (Which I think is intended) HOWEVER there are moments where it is written as you feel a certain way for the "shadowman" even though technically you never were put in danger or straight up attacked. Essentially it felt at times as I was being forced to think of "the shadowman" in a certain light at times. Romance is okay. Nothing amazing, and IMO not enough of a focus. Instead of having the ability to only hang out with one person at a time it would be better to be able to CHOOSE to hang out with ALL OR NONE options. This would allow you to bond romantically or platonically with whomever you wanted. All that would need to be done is some check that would cause you to eventually choose whom you would romantically end up with. Anyways. As of book 1 I can't bring myself to choose any side, trust any side completely, etc. So far, there is no "bad guy". Just a lack of information. My recommendation is to wait until more books are released as it leaves you on a cliffhanger and with none of your questions answered about who to trust, like, etc.
Not very well written. The choices don't make sense some of the time and the plot is a little hard to follow. I only played through chapter 2, and then I stopped because it wasn't holding my interest and I couldn't really care about what was happening.
I personally love this story so far and am looking forward to Book 2. The story was fun, the world intriguing, and the characters were all enjoyable. No real flat character or romance here. Each person was interesting to get to know and see the way the story changed to them. The tidbits that allow us to dive into the minds of the romantic interests really helped to flesh them out to. And the small choices offered to let us flesh out OUR character was a welcome addition. I look forward to seeing how the story continues, specially with Reylo, Michael, and Quaiel.
