About

The Seven Enchantments is a first-person psychological horror game set in the village of Pradonin, a forgotten place deep in 1800s Eastern Europe where religion, folklore, and sin intertwine. You are Józef, a fraudulent exorcist sent to help, only to realize something real and terrifying awaits. What begins as a simple con spirals into a psychological descent as you uncover the dark truth behind seven cursed villagers, each consumed by one of the seven deadly sins.
Some revel in sin. Others suffer from it. But all who give in are changed, twisted, and cursed. As Józef, uncover the intertwined stories of the villagers of Pradonin—their secrets, their sins, and their fates.
Why did this village fall? Who is truly behind the evil lurking here?
As you search the shadows… some may begin to look back.
Each villager you investigate represents a deadly sin. Explore their homes, trace their memories, and uncover clues. The truth might not be what you imagined, but Józef must face it all.
In this world, stories are buried under rocks, behind doors, or in the quiet hum of the forest. But are you ready to discover how this story ends?
Explore a cursed village: Every house, shrine, and shadow holds a secret tied to one of the seven deadly sins. Navigate dense forests, decaying huts, and sacred ritual sites.
Day/Night cycle gameplay:
By day, gather resources like candles, ritual tools, and scent-based stealth items.
By night, survive the hunt. The Leshy, a deadly creature from Slavic folklore, stalks you. Sound and light are your enemies—or your only hope.
Crafting & preparation:
Use the resources you collect to craft ritual candles, tools, and scent-based stealth items, shaping how you explore by day and how you survive the Leshy’s hunt at night.
The Wendigo – Your Second Hunter
There is something worse than the Leshy.
The Wendigo cannot be outrun. No resource protects you. No crafted item helps.
Your only weapon is eye contact: look directly at him to hold him back, hesitate, or look away at the wrong moment, and you pay for it.
Investigative horror: Find journals, ritual objects, and subtle environmental clues that piece together each villager’s story and reveal the curse at the heart of Pradonin.
Puzzle-based storytelling: Ritual circles, grotesque remnants, and ancient relics are keys to solving the mystery. Your curiosity may be your salvation—or your undoing.
Environmental storytelling & puzzles: Ritual sites, cursed relics, and grotesque scenes slowly reveal the truth—if you’re willing to look closely.
Multiple Endings
Your choices, your discoveries, your faith or fraud—everything is counted.
Different paths lead to multiple endings that reflect what kind of man Józef truly is… and what kind of curse you leave behind.

Reviews
The Seven Enchantments presents a dark first-person horror adventure built around folklore, investigation, supernatural threats, and the consequences of human vice. Its setting is the isolated 19th-century village of Pradonin, a place where religious beliefs, old legends, and terrifying events have become intertwined. The player assumes the role of Józef, a supposed exorcist whose profession is based more on deception than genuine spiritual ability. What initially appears to be another opportunity to profit from frightened villagers becomes considerably more dangerous when he discovers that the supernatural forces haunting the region are genuine. This protagonist gives the story an interesting foundation. Józef enters the situation without the knowledge or heroic credentials normally associated with supernatural investigators, making his encounter with real evil particularly effective. The mystery centers on seven cursed villagers, each connected to one of the seven deadly sins. Their individual circumstances gradually contribute to a broader picture of what has happened to Pradonin. Exploring their homes, examining personal belongings, discovering written information, and interpreting ritual objects become essential parts of understanding the village's tragedy. Exploration is therefore more than a way of traveling between objectives. The environments are designed to encourage careful searching, with useful items and pieces of narrative information concealed throughout houses, forests, religious locations, and other unsettling areas. Players willing to investigate less obvious corners can uncover additional context surrounding the inhabitants and their fate. This approach complements the psychological horror because the disturbing history of Pradonin is gradually assembled through discovery rather than simply delivered through lengthy exposition. A day-and-night cycle provides the adventure with a survival-oriented rhythm. Daylight offers opportunities to investigate and collect resources, while darkness introduces substantially greater danger. Materials found while exploring can be used to prepare equipment such as ritual candles and other practical tools. This creates a reason to search thoroughly before venturing into more dangerous circumstances. Resource collection never needs to become the main attraction because its purpose is primarily to support the horror and investigation. Nighttime becomes especially tense because the Leshy begins hunting Józef. Visibility, movement, sound, and preparation become important considerations when navigating areas where the creature may appear. The interesting element is the relationship between light and vulnerability. Illumination can make exploration easier, yet using it carelessly can also create additional risk. This produces a natural conflict between wanting to see what lies ahead and wanting to remain unnoticed. The Wendigo introduces another style of confrontation. Unlike threats that encourage hiding or escaping, this creature requires the player to maintain eye contact to keep it under control. Looking away can allow it to approach, creating an uncomfortable mechanic that forces players to watch the very monster they would instinctively prefer to avoid. Giving supernatural enemies their own behavioral rules helps encounters feel less repetitive and makes learning about the creatures almost as important as reacting quickly to them. Puzzles and rituals further strengthen the investigative side of the game. Ancient objects, ritual circles, cursed possessions, remains, and environmental clues are connected to the larger mystery. The most appealing aspect of this structure is how puzzles can contribute to storytelling rather than functioning as unrelated barriers. Solving a ritual or interpreting an unusual object potentially reveals more about a victim, a curse, or the forces affecting Pradonin. Players who enjoy examining environments and piecing together lore should find this approach more rewarding than those looking primarily for combat. The atmosphere draws heavily from folk horror. Remote woodland, deteriorating structures, disturbing religious imagery, darkness, corpses, blood, and supernatural creatures establish a consistently bleak mood. Mature imagery and violent material contribute to the oppressive presentation, but the concept is not dependent entirely on gore. Much of the tension comes from isolation, uncertain intentions, concealed histories, and the knowledge that the surrounding environment becomes considerably more dangerous after nightfall. Player decisions also have significance because the story can lead toward multiple endings. This gives Józef's journey a degree of moral weight that suits his dishonest background. His encounters with genuine supernatural forces create an opportunity for his beliefs and motivations to evolve, while discoveries and decisions can influence how events ultimately conclude. Multiple outcomes should also encourage replaying the adventure for players who want to explore alternative choices or investigate details they previously overlooked. The Seven Enchantments is developed and published by Revolt Entertainment. Its combination of psychological horror, supernatural survival, crafting, puzzles, exploration, and folklore gives it a recognizable identity. The seven-deadly-sins structure is especially useful because it provides individual stories within a larger mystery while maintaining a consistent thematic connection between human behavior and supernatural punishment. Steam Deck compatibility should currently be approached cautiously. There is no sufficiently established official Steam Deck compatibility status to confidently describe the game as Verified or Playable. Until an official compatibility classification or substantial practical testing confirms otherwise, prospective Steam Deck users should consider compatibility unconfirmed. It may still function through SteamOS and Proton, but controller behavior, interface readability, performance, video playback, or other technical elements could require adjustment. Overall, The Seven Enchantments has an intriguing foundation for players who prefer horror driven by atmosphere and investigation instead of relentless action. The fraudulent-exorcist premise provides a memorable protagonist, while the cursed villagers, deadly sins, ritual puzzles, resource preparation, and differently behaving monsters give the adventure several interconnected layers. Its strongest potential lies in making players feel that understanding Pradonin is essential to surviving it. For fans of first-person psychological horror, folklore-inspired mysteries, environmental storytelling, and supernatural investigation, it offers a compelling journey into a village where human corruption and ancient terror have become inseparable. This game spoils itself in the tutorial screen at the start - it explains how to play against monsters and which monsters we will encounter - crazy how the game doesn't let me figure it out for myself, to be intrigued, in the future to learn how to fight against them by experience. Also diary entry about farmer's house spoiled what I would see inside. Very bad. Why play game that doesn't let you expirience it for yourself. Shame on you, guys... Fix it if you value your game...
Game starts a bit slow, but once you get a hang of it, it gets interesting. Definitely recommend to everyone who enjoys walking simulators and puzzles (especially with a bit of spice).
