[i]The Seven Districts of Sin: The Tail Makes the Fox[/i] is the first episode of a fantasy/comedy dating simulator; you play as Lilim, a fox-spirit that also happens to be an auditor for the Hell Government. She's designed to investigate a case of "soul laundering" and she must report her results to Lord Lucifer. Will she find the culprit? Or will she find something else? Oh, and this game was made by Reine Works, the same developers of Blossoms Bloom Brightest. This visual novel is focused on humor: there are bad jokes everywhere and funny situations happening a lot. The title is self-aware of its own cheesiness and constantly talks about it. Particularly, I enjoyed that. Sometimes it's nice to play a novel that isn't much serious and has more of a comedy base. But if you don't like those kinds of situations and dialogues, I highly suggest you pick another game; you're going to get angry at Seven Districts of Sin. There are two male (Gaki and Saleos) and two female (Anzu and Kali) routes, each one featuring two endings. There are also two bad endings [spoiler](my favorite one is where a piano falls on your head lol[/spoiler]. My favorite character was Saleos, he's so cute! His route was also sweet. Now I'm very curious about the second episode, I hope it's going to be released soon. The art style is pretty. I got a bit sad that there's just a few CGs and most of them are chibis. The backgrounds were alright, not memorable but not bad. The BGM was good, a bit repetitive after a while tho. This game is also fully voiced and I must say, I've loved the voice acting! It was very charismatic. Also, it only took me 4 hours to finish all the routes and get all the achievements. 7/10. Overall, I recommend getting this game on a sale mostly because it's a bit expensive for a few hours of gameplay. Despite that, I had fun playing this novel.

Hmmm... This is a tough VN to rate properly - on one hand, it's definitely not bad and is pretty much criminally overlooked (I was the first person to give it a rating on VNDB, four months after its release). On the other, it does some very weird things, that makes it harder to enjoy it fully - or to really be excited for more chapters of this, as it seems, episodic release. I will also mention that I was provided with a free review copy [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/32980295/]through my curator page[/url] - otherwise, I might've never found this game in the first place, considering how much it went below the radar. Getting to the point - this game is primarily a comedy, featuring an absurdly-delusional fox spirit, who works as an auditor in the central administration of Hell, being sent by Lucifer on an investigation to one of the districts. There, she meets the (pretty hostile) local governor, along with her small staff and try to uncover the secrets they might be withholding from Satan. There are four romance routes, with two male and two female love interests and affection meters clearly showing how your choices affects your possible relationships. The actual story arcs vary between somewhat sweet (Saleos and Kali) to completely grotesque (Gaki), but none of them really end in fulfilling fashion, mostly leading to cliffhangers as expected with the first episode of longer story. The characters are mostly caricatures, including the protagonist herself, with her strange fixation on being a high-grade demon (which isn't true) and delusional love for the Lord of Hell, who only considers her a low-level pawn. She starts as quite annoying, but especially in Saleos' route, where we learn the most about her background and motivations, can grow on you. The humour is a bit of hit-and-miss, with things like Gaki's egomaniacal rants growing old pretty fast and jokes occasionally falling flat. It definitely had its moments though and apart from comedy, the game was able to produce a few relatively touching and interesting moments. The pacing of the story felt strangely rushed at times, but wasn't the worst when it goes to building an intrigue and developing characters in a pretty short time-frame. Something that definitely caught my attention was the solid artwork and the surprisingly decent voice acting, especially on Anzu and Saleos - the VA for the latter got me quite impressed, building the character pretty much perfectly and without real slip-ups, while Gaki's and Kali's VAs both had some pretty awfully-acted lines, even if in general they weren't terrible. This, along with decently animated sprites and some fairly-sweet looking CGs makes the game stand out in a positive way. I've talked a lot about Saleos, right? I think he also will be a good point for the summary - as his route shows, when compared to all the other ones, this VN is above all heavily inconsistent and while it can be enjoyable, it leaves you with a very strange mixture of feelings. It does interesting things, but in the end, always lands a bit off the mark. [b]I will give it a cautious recommendation though and I'm actually quite intrigued where it will go from now - as developer's comments suggest, future episodes might be significantly longer and more complex.[/b]

If I was to write my silly and very embarassing fantasies into a game, this is would be it. It reads like my daydreams of being a succubus in hell, complete with things you never want anyone to know about. Bad jokes and bad taste. It is voice acted, not too badly. The art is very pretty and... I'm sorry but Luci I can't take seriously in that outfit. I spent the first few mintues of this game laughing and thinking I must have hit my head and passed out. I only recommend it and paid for it out of sick guilty pleasure and...*ahem* "personal reasons" but I suggest a normal person looking for a good VN to stay away. If you're a depraved pervert and want to read subpar daydreamy fanfiction then go right ahead! This game has some good moments but overall I found that jokes went on too long, were cringy, had too much disjointed dialog that was painful to read and difficult to understand where it was actually going. This seriously needs a better writer if they plan another episode. This game is full of wasted potentinal and all the routes are boring and for the price no, absoutely not. Not when there are free games with way better storyline and dialogs existing on steam.

I wanted to like this VN based on the premise, but the writing put me off pretty hard. It's quirky and occasionally funny, which is good, but it's also full of little exchanges and exposition that bloat up the storytelling while adding very little value. It reads like amateur fiction that didn't have to go through a good editor eager to put a hacksaw into every unnecessary word and sentence.

I received this game for free but this review only reflects my enjoyment and opinion of the game. There will be minor plot spoilers below but I don't want to go into detail over all the things that happen in the game as I want you to play and discover it for yourself. So I will just go over some of the basic's to give you an overview of what to expect and the quality of the game itself. The Artwork is both beautiful and adorable at the same time. The backdrops are well detailed and varied. I never felt like I had been staring at the same backdrop for very long. The characters were well designed and even provided blink and mouth movement animations which really added to the game's immersion. The CG's are more towards the cute end of things as this game switches easily between chibi stylized art and regular anime stylizations. I felt that this choice was a good one because it really fell into what the story was as a whole which is a comedy. There are only a few CG's (15ish) that you can unlock but that is understandable as this is only Episode 1 of an unknown # at this time. The Sound of the game is nice. The background music is pleasant to listen to and doesn't irritate. The sound effects are well chosen as well and are placed appropriately. When I first started to play all of my setting were by default off so I had to turn them off. I am not sure if this is a default in the game or whether this is something weird with my particular instance either way I was able to set the sounds easily to how I enjoy playing the game. The voice work is amazing and in English. I really enjoyed listening to the characters interact with one another. The main character doesn't have a voice but everyone else does. The voice work really brought this game to a new level and I applaud the detail done to make the characters really shine. The story is really good though incomplete as this is episode 1. It has a less A-Typical plot then most games probably due to the comedic nature. The basics are that the main character (a kitsune/gumiho) gets sent to do an undercover job for her master(Lucifer/Luci) to find out information about what is going on in a particular district of hell and along the way discovers romance. Since this is the first episode in a series, the relationships are more shallow then in a fully released game. So you only get to scratch the surface on who these people are and what makes them tick which really leaves you with wondering how the relationship will develop in the future. I really enjoyed the individual characters and discovering more and more about them. I laughed a lot during this story which is a great sign and I am very much looking forward to playing Episode 2 and see how the story lines will carry over into the next part. Dialog is really well done. The story is all about wit, quirk and mischievousness. This game knows when to take it seriously and when to just pack on the fun. The chibi artwork really adds to these moments too. The text was easy to read and I noticed only one typo in the whole thing. There are also a few moments where what you are reading and what you hear are in slightly different order but this doesn't affect the game in anyway. This is one of the first games I have enjoyed my main character being an idiot/naive at times because it just ends up being very enjoyable to witness the events that occur. Each character has a theme behind how they speak and behave. Kali is the shy one with an obsession, Gaki is the bold pervy character, Saleos is the helpful butler type and Anzu is the belligerent bored heiress type. So you can see that the story/dialog can at times get very raunchy, shocking, cute and romantic depending on the moment and who you are dealing with. I never got bored with anything I was reading or where it was going. Even though some of the happenings were random (mostly Gaki)the story was coherent and well paced. The game is decent in length the initial play through is about 4 hours. I have spent about an additional 2 hours roughly trying to get all the endings and am not quite done yet. Some of the endings are intuitive and were easily obtained such as Gaki, Kali and Saleos and so are the bad endings. Anzu appears to be less intuitive and I am working on getting her good ending as I am missing a heart to complete her story and get her last CG. There are 4 romance(2 Male and 2 Female) options (Gaki, Saleos, Kali and Anzu) that you can interact with directly. This is entirely choice based with no stat farming. The characters are really well written and well acted and I enjoy interacting with all of them. There are currently no achievements to unlock not sure if this is a feature that will be added later. Overall, the game is a lot of fun. The story is funny and adorable. I loved reading the interaction with all the characters. Each character was well established and I can't say enough how I enjoyed listening to the bickering between them all. The voice acting is really well done and I think adds a lot to the enjoyment of the game. The game runs regularly for $11.49 which might seem like a lot since other games which are complete cost around the same and I'm not sure if this cost includes further updates aka episodes or if they will separate them and each will be around that price. I do think that this game is worth buying and if you don't want to pay the full cost then you should definitely wishlist this and wait for a sale. The difference in cost is probably the voice work which I can't stress enough as being great and worth it. I am really excited to get the next installment and see where the story will go from here.

Pues aquí estamos. Me faltan un par de finales para terminar el juego, pero dudo que eso cambie la opinión que tengo. El título tiene cosas geniales: la prosa es divertidísima y muy entretenida y la protagonista es más maja que las pesetas, lo cuál suele ser algo que valoro muy positivamente (soy de las que cree que hacer reír es más difícil que hacer llorar). Además, el doblaje está muy conseguido, no esperaba que me gustara tanto como lo ha hecho. Y el diseño de los personajes femeninos es variado y resultón, ahí la verdad es que genial. También me he quedado muy contenta con los dibujos de las CGs, especialmente las de los chibis, qué monada. Pero... por mucho que me duela decirlo (porque la verdad es que se nota el cariño del equipo), el juego tiene sus cosas malas también: Para empezar, el diseño de los personajes masculinos peca un poco de síndrome de la misma cara (si ves a Saleos y a Gaki al mismo tiempo salta a la vista). Y, aunque bonitas, solo había una CG por personaje que no fuera un chibi. Lo cual me parece algo escaso para un juego de estas características, la verdad. Además, la historia... me da la impresión de que se hace repetitiva, es decir, las diferentes rutas apenas tienen tres o cuatro escenas diferentes. No es raro que esto pase en muchos otome y, al menos, esas escenas no son La Misma Escena con los diferentes intereses amorosos cambiados, que algo es algo. Pero... podría hacerse mejor, sin llegar a marcarse un Amnesia o algo así, que por el precio que tiene tampoco se le puede exigir al juego. Y, bueno, tal vez si los finales hubieran dado más de sí... pero ya he conseguido más de la mitad y son... meh. Además, el skip funciona mal en algunos momentos y tenía que estar yo pendiente de que no saltara texto que no había leído (como tenía marcado en las opciones). Finalmente, tengo que decir que he echado en falta el desarrollo de personajes, que es, precisamente, una de las claves de una VN (al menos en mi baremo). Al final, con tantos errores que le he sacado, uno se preguntará por qué lo recomiendo. Bueno, hay dos factores que hacen que haya decidido recomendarlo: el primero es que, pese a todos los fallos, yo he disfrutado jugándolo y eso quiere decir que algo bueno tiene que tener para compensar todo lo que he criticado, aunque no sepa ponerle nombre; el segundo, con mucho más peso, es que es el episodio 1 de quién sabe cuántos. En otros episodios pueden pulir a los personajes, incluir más imágenes, dividir las rutas un poco más... pueden llegar a montar una novela visual muy sólida, por la idea y la narración no están nada mal y pueden dar más de sí. Y, al final, en eso es en lo que confío para recomendar este título. (Pero, sí, si piensas comprar este juego, aprovecha una rebaja que haga que valga la pena)

Se agradece que el juego se encuentre en español, muy pocos toman en cuenta ese idioma. Una novela visual cómica y entretenida. La narrativa no solo te lleva a congeniar con la protagonista y algunos personajes, sino también con el mismo narrador quién le da un toque humorístico a la historia. Me quedé con el sabor de... Y qué pasa después? Espero que publiquen muy pronto el capítulo 2 para continuar con la historia. Reitero mi agradecimiento al encontrarse el juego en español, y espero que también otros productos de Reine Works los habiliten en nuestro idioma.

Me gusta la historia en si, tiene buenos argumentos además de ser fieles a las diversas personalidades de los personajes durante todo el juego. Solo recomiendo comprarlo en oferta, ya que solo es el cápitulo 1... Quizás tener más imagenes le faltaria, pero entre todo agradezco que este en español!
