The Secret Order 3: Ancient Times

Above average voice acting and artstyle. HOG and minigames are alright too. Get it on sale for some simple fun for about 3-5 hours (it took me 5 with breaks included for the complete story + bonus chapter).

Meh at best for me. Nonsensical story, bad voice acting, some (most) puzzles are trivial while the rest would likely be trivial if they were properly sign posted. One of the puzzles, for example, required me to set the taps in such a way that the air will pass through the pipes without escaping through the holes. The problem is, there were no clear visual indicators of the direction in which the air was travelling or where the holes were. Only worth buying at a deep discount and if one enjoys hidden object games. I suspect I picked this up in a bundle priced at $1 or less per item so I cannot complain about the price but it does feel like the game was not particularly worth the time investment.

Easy HO with typical mini games and HO scenes that all do not pose a bigger problem. This makes it also easy to follow the plot and to look out for the collectibles in some scenes. Thankfully there is a map to jump to the individual scenes as there is quite some walking back and forth necessary. Nice graphics and sound and overall a good HO game to kill time on a rainy day.

Game is bugged, can't complete Unicorn Achievement, one Unicorn is stuck in the bushes permanently. Bonus game is bugged, the ending will not play after you complete the final altar.

Nice and relaxing.

I'd call this game slightly better than previous one in this serie. Slightly. Better visuals. Story is still a joke but little more consistent this time. The game is rather long and even has a bonus chapter. It looks nice and stuff, but the story of this bonus chapter is just a nonesense and barely related to the main game. Gameplaywise almost nothing chaged here. You get a pet Griffin, but most, if not all, puzzles and mini games are more or less the same as before. And they are still rather simple. Too simple, as for me. Overall, while I definitely would not call this game a 'must buy', but if you were ok with previous game - you will be more than ok with this one as well.

One of the best HOG's I have played from Artifex Mundi. And I played like 10 or something. Good story, and even nicer bonus story. Different puzzles, nice touches with how the story unfold. Sometimes a tiny bit unlogical, but overal very enjoyable 10 hrs play. It is already 9 years old, but with this kind of games that doesn't matter. It is still cute.
