About
It's nighttime, you're driving down a dark road, heading to a Halloween party your friends have organized at a remote farm. But the farm carries a legend stained with despair. And someone is watching you from afar...
What begins as a celebration soon turns into blood-soaked horror.
The Scarlet Harvest is a horror survival game inspired by classic 90s slasher films. Step into tense, atmospheric locations pulled straight from a late-night horror flick.
A silent gas station in the middle of the woods, sinister cornfields, ramshackle barns, and a remote farm hiding more than one terrible secret.
Before the nightmare unfolds, you’re free to live the moment. Dance with your friends. Grab a beer. Talk, explore, and light a few firecrackers under the Halloween sky. But when the horror begins, there’s no standing still. You’ll have to run for your life. Fight back against your enemies. Survive the night.
With dark environments, constant tension, and moments of gore, The Scarlet Harvest delivers a slasher-inspired horror experience where not everyone makes it to morning.

Reviews
There is no way people genuinely praise this game to the degree I'm seeing in these reviews. The dumb, campy tone is great for the first 30 minutes, but once the actual game starts, all fun goes out the window. And then drives off a cliff, in a car that's on fire.

Signposting for some sections is entirely reliant on dialogue that's misspelled or unclear. (Zack and the windmill)
Lighting Issues make it IMPOSSIBLE to see in some sections, especially when you don't have the lighter/flashlight
Enemy hitboxes and grab points make crouching past zombies or shotguns tedious with janky controls
Platforming with the INCREDIBLY BAD controls is next to impossible and simply an exercise in how many times you can repeat a section.
Jumpscares aren't remotely scary
Overall, this feels like a case of the developer not having someone in their ear telling them how tedious a lot of this game is. When competing a section is simply a matter of boring repetition while fighting both bad lighting and controls, there's fundamental issues here. I know the developer will say I'm too harsh on a $6 game, but the reality is that if your game isn't fun to play due to fundamental issues with how it's designed, then you shouldn't be charging at all for it. Go back to the drawing board if these disjointed, annoying snippets of a game are what you think is good game design.
Trashy Horror it is.
Puh... was soll ich dazu sagen. Overall würd ichs aber empfehlen I guess. Also... ja doch... oder... hm. Doch schon. Glaub ich. GaLieGrü Hummus PS: MJOLKNOT spiele bitte dieses Spiel. Das wäre schön.
Bon petit jeu d'horreur dev par un seul gars ( on apprécie encore plus ). 2h de jeux pour un bon petit 8/10
I loved Jack Holmes : Master of Puppets and The Scarlet Harvest delivers! Great little title from @TonyDevGame once again!! Worth a play through. There were a few small bugs but nothing that stops you from completing the game.
Fantastic little campy horror. Just like with Jack Holmes, here you can expect some intentional or unintentional (?) cornball dialogue from the protagonist (this is a positive), surprisingly awesome music that'll have you stop and listen, and interesting vibrant visuals. Had some performance issues and FPS drops here and there, but otherwise an all around fun experience. If you haven't played Jack Holmes: Master of Puppets though, definitely go and do that before picking this one up.
I left my bad opinions about the demo and the dev gifted me a free copy. This isn't normally the type of game I play, but I thought it fair to leave an honest review, but the dev didn't ask or even reach out. I went into this with a bit of skepticism and it has it's ups and downs but it was a fun playthrough. The game doesn't take itself too seriously, the writing and plot are a bit campy in the way 80s slashers were; think overdrawn stereotype characters, over the top blood and chainsaw wielding cult members. The only thing missing is a slaughtered cheerleader. The gameplay is varied enough to keep it interesting, you go from a defenseless party boy being chased through the corn fields to chainsawing down doors looking for an ancient evil. The only thing I didn't really enjoy was a boss fight, but luckily they bugged out and I could site back and easily win. That was the only gameplay bug I saw, and the game never crashed. There are jump scares for instant game overs, and all but one felt fair and once you knew where they are you can avoid them. You'll probably die, but the autosave points are generous and I never felt like I was having to re-do things to catch up to where I died. The environments are suitably grimy and dim, with the dev not shy about hanging entrails where they don't belong. The scenes are well dressed and attention to detail has been paid to make the environments feel real and lived in. The sound design is mostly good, but some sound effect choices like the game over sting are a bit odd. The music is decent, though one of the boss choices felt odd to my taste. The game is not fully voiced, which is fair given it's a solo/small dev team. There are canned lined which vaguely relate to the text being read, they didn't get irritating. There are a decent array of graphics settings to tinker with, but as of the time of this review almost none of them seem to change anything for me. On a 3090 at 5120x1440 my FPS depended mostly on the environment I was in, with some having rate of 60-80fps, others were locked at my max 120. I spent a lot of time looking at the environments and probably an hour running in circles when it wasn't clear what I was supposed to do, but that only really happened twice. Overall a good bit of fun, and a pick worth of a halloween playthrough.
Nettes kleines Horrorgame! Wer lust hat sich an einem dunklen Abend zu gruseln ist hier richtig :)
