Sand Knight is an amazing guns blazing, sword slashing, narrative rich adventure. I appreciate that the game lets you to get out of the mech and fight. Although you are much weaker and will probably die, I still appreciate it. I like that the game is rich in narrative and that you have a partner that feeds you lore and chit-chats with you. My favorite part is buying and upgrading the different mech arms. That fire sword is so cool. The last thing I will touch on is the Boss Battles. So many boss battles! There are elite mini bosses, sub bosses and Level bosses. I never had so much fun downing bosses. They make you change your play style to defeat them which is always a plus in my book. Great game!
Twin stick mech action + upgrades + story-driven = Old school 16-bit mech blasting. Buy a variety of weapons/upgrades after each level. You can jump out of the mech to fight but die in 1 hit. I've been waiting for this game for years and it's everything I wanted and more. The art is amazing and the the game play is re-playable and has a good difficulty curve. I would recommend this to anyone who has a functional brain.
Feels like a fun old flash game.
love this game and its community
Has some solid boss fights, some good build customization during a run, and solid music. There's fun to be had in The Sand Knight. I can see how there could be some solid replayability with the various weapons and the ways in which you could optimize your build and strategies, if that's your thing.
After a few years of playing The Sand Knight at indie game conventions and saying, "This is a pretty good game, I'd pay money for this," my wish was granted and now I can play this nostalgic (for me), 8-bit, post-apocalypse-like, mech shooter without having to listen to Rick sigh every time I die.
cool sidescroller, reminds me of the arcade games I played as a kid. Great fun!
Super fun! A great bullet hell with an awesome upgrades system. Give it a try!
Solid old-school mech shooter! I especially like the upgrade system and the pure panic of being in a boss fight when my mech goes down. It's a brilliant addition to give the player a "last chance" by fighting as the pilot with a single hit point. The voice acting could really use a professional redux and I'd appreciate save points, but I can confidently recommend this for the price.
