The Real Texas is an action RPG taking place in Strange, Texas: a Kafka-esque parody stuck halfway between modern-day America and olden-days, RPG England.

Suddenly a magical rune compels you to dance.
A unique little gem of a game. It's quirkiness is reminiscent of action RPGs like Little Big Adventure. Don't be fooled by its appearance -- there's a lot of attention to detail in this game. You can search underneath mattresses for wads of cash, initiate hidden dialogue with various characters and discover plenty of hidden items, treasures, and new outfits for the Cowboy. Plenty of heart and humor. The combat isn't particularly deep as there's more focus on exploring and puzzle solving. Worth a try if you like overhead RPGs like Zelda, though it very much has its own offbeat personality.
This game is really good, played it back in 2012.
This is a fantastic open-world sort of... Zelda / adventure game hybrid? It's hard to pin down. It's a bit like Ultima 7, if you remember that one, and it doubles down on being weird in a lot of awesome ways. You MAY need a walkthrough at points, and the shooting is hard to get used to, but it's absolutely worth snagging regardless just to experience it.

Worth pushing through the not great bits for.
This is one of my favourite games.
Strange, Texas is called strange for a reason. Yes, it's trite, but I'm not sure how to sum it up otherwise. Enjoyably lo-fi 3D art and good, and sometimes gamey, music. Feels like a not-so-classic adventure game. Weird, and not self-aggrandizing about it. DLC is also good, but much more experimental.
Fun adventure. I'd rather play this than go back to Actual Texas.
Remember to search under the bed, even if you need to type it in! Also it works great on the Deck
