A roundabout 5-6 hour indie puzzle game at the moment. You need to figure out where to place your arrows to change the path of the penguin. There are ~ 65 levels right now with some being explanatory when a new mechanic is introduced. Maybe there should be in a few levels a limit of arrows to make it more difficult. I personally would prefer some kind of incentive to optimize your solutions - right now it doesn't matter how fast/good your solution is as long as it solves the puzzle. Now with added workshop items there is more content and you could create your own levels or play for example my created levels ;) Furthermore I really like the music. Was enjoyable to play!

Game will be Removed Soon because Developer has Mental Breakdown (?) why i think this read here: https://steamcommunity.com/games/1504220/announcements/detail/625565014626926729
Why I decided to remove my products from Steam Why I decided to publish on Steam Steam offers a unique suite of tools to distribute games without worrying about the financial or technical aspects of shipping a game, plus a workshop where users can share their unique creations and achievements, artworks, screenshots shareable across the platform. In my case, it has also offered me some publicity, i.e the possibility to have a community without advertising. I feel grateful. Making games is not my job, however I have learnt immensely about software by shipping to thousands of users and it's been a pleasure to express my creativity and provide regular updates. Lack of standards Anyone can publish on Steam. This means tens of thousands of rubbish products appear every new year - and anyone who joins the platform is treated equally with them. Historically, engines and asset stores already enabled many to create fake products. In the age of AI, no evidence remains that any effort went behind a new game. Porn and unethical games The most blatant example are the adult games actively promoted by the platform. Steam has stubbornly refused to remove games related to harm and incest until payment processors like Visa and Mastercard courageously stepped in and froze their accounts, despite having no financial interest to censor the platform. The UK government also courageously stepped with its Online Safety Act, encouraging them to restrict sensitive purchases behind a credit card, however Steam has chosen the rogue path and the same games continue to be distributed to minors through retail keys. Steam is very clear that it now has no interest in ethics, effectively tainting its partners while it maintains its interest in its 30% share - nearly half of the money. Why are ethics important? As long as humans have existed, we have lived in a world that has always been filled with violence, war, denying each's other rights, minorities rights, destruction of animals and the environment, including sexual violence, today promoting global leaders such as Tr*mp or Put*n or local ones who have also committed the same violence both in their public and private life. While God is the obvious remedy against the wicked, they sometimes sleep on the job and artists and the platforms not only have a right to say in what is right or wrong but also they show what they are worth when they do so or not. Scammers There is no oversight. This means: Anyone can create a fake product and list it for $200. Anyone can generate keys to create scams and generate unfair competition with Steam prices. In the case of Humble Bundle, it was used to support charity. In case of DailyIndieGame, G2A, Eneba, Kinguin, there is no legitimate use other than harming Steam and developers. Anyone can update their game, replacing the files with a virus. There is a Terms of Service covering some of these issues, but infringements are not monitored or punished even when done in plain sight. A community has formed around these problems called Sentinels of the Store — a positive group of users who spend time reporting abusive or fraudulent listings. They’ve filed thousands of reports and flag issues diligently; unfortunately, the totality of those reports are ignored. Double standards Steam locks features behind a Profile featured limited checkmark, which acts like a yellow badge for Jewish people—a mark that signals exclusion. This status is not possible for indie developers to obtain unless they pursue aggressive wealth and success. Steam has misrepresented the purpose of this feature—it does not prevent low-quality games from flooding the platform and getting vetted—but it can block legitimate developers from gaining trust and visibility, which in some cases is crucial for their survival. For some vetted publishers, this status is granted historically and automatically to all their new games. This means that even a new and unsuccessful game, such as "Sex Adventures - GangBang Surprise", can receive this elevated status despite having achieved no recognition, success, or quality by any metric. Fake popularity While Steam highlights its expanding revenues and users, the platform is actually flooded with bots. Developers are routinely contacted not only by scammers and rogue key retailers but also by services offering reviews, wishlists, and simulated user activity. Games that get involved into these questionable third-party services tend to perform better—a practice that the platform inexplicably allows. In a place where you can't distinguish the fake from the real, anyone could accuse you of anything and smash a tomato in your face - imagine you also happen to have family and friends watching and worrying about what other people are doing to you - that's not a good place to be, right? Future actions I will continue to be a user on Steam for the charity and sales events, but I am no longer interested in selling software here unless significant changes are made. Perhaps publishing free software on Steam could be the answer. Thank you again for your attention, understanding and support Paul Demanze
See Ya.
The Penguin IQ Test was intended to be a 2D browser/Flash/Java style pathing/routing puzzle game where you're presented with a lazy minimalist grid that you need to move a "penguin" through in the correct sequence. The game is completely broken and does not launch, with a "Failed to read file Shaders/SkyboxVertex" error. Despite this, the developer still has their hand out for $1, and like all lousy shovelware, this was dumped very quickly into cheap nasty game bundles (presumably with the intent of making those bundles worse). As a broken game, there's no jusitification for this being on Steam. If this is the kind of game you really want to play (Why are you on Steam??), you can find hundreds of games like this free on the web, running in browser. And those games work, and you don't have to pay for them.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The developer stalked me recently trying to get me to change my review. I will note that apparently the technical problem may be fixed, but this is irrelevant... stalking people because you can't handle the objective fact that a game is crap simply isn't okay. It's creepy. Edit: The developer, apparently 5 years old, after I blocked them from stalking me on Steam, pulled the Steam key from my account. This is who you're dealing with, an individual with the emotional capabilities of a child. Edit 2: Apparently the developer did this to a number of gamers (anyone who got the key from DailyIndieGame) to try shut the game down/silence critics, as well as scam gamers. The developer is offering to re-gift the game on the condition you add the developer as a friend... maximum creepiness. This just isn't acceptable on any level, and optimistically the developer will be banned from Steam for their actions. The irony of the developer going into this review and saying "I had no intent to provide a broken product or make any bundle worse, let alone steal $1 from someone." and then stealing the money from customers by keeping the DIG proceeds and banning the gamers keys is the most bold faced lie I've ever seen. Why can we be confident this is a lie on the part of the developer? When developers pull the lever to mass revoke keys, it's almost never for the reason they claim, that the key-reseller didn't pay them. The developer would have us believe that DailyIndieGame, who deal with literally hundreds of indie developers (even Russian scammers) without a single payment problem suddenly now can't manage to pay developers for keys... why did the developer feel the need to lie about their brazen act of theft? While reviews are about games, and not developers, no matter how unethical, or in this case, outright criminal they happen to be, it's important that gamers don't risk money on games where the developer is shady/criminal, because this results in the risk of what has happened here... if you buy this game, you can lose your money when the developer has his next criminal fit and revokes your key. Don't put your money at risk. Edit Again: The highly toxic developer also bans anyone from community discussions who criticises the way they took money from gamers and then revoked their keys. Ignorance, denial, censorship and theft. Edit (It just keeps coming): The developer is a fraud and attempted to extort/swindle money from DIG as well, and this banning of keys is a kneejerk reaction to being caught out for criminal/fraudulent activity. Have a read of this comment from the key reseller: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1504220/discussions/0/3275816470985630302/?ctp=2#c3275816470987270987 No benefit of the doubt should be given to the criminal and fraudulent developer in this case. I suspect they may find themselves banned from Steam soon. Edit 2: Well this is fun, the developer lied about banning me from the discussion forums where people were pointing out that taking money from game key sales then revoking the keys is fraud. So I guess the developer is both a liar (lied about this) and a thief (revoked paying customers keys). The developer also weirdly lies about having "no idea what this is about" when the forum post discussing how the developer took peoples money and then revoked their keys is linked right in my comment!. Well, the guys behind DIG have threatened legal action against the guy so let's see how that pans out.
The Penguin IQ Test is a programming puzzle game about helping a penguin to reach a certain position using different type of arrows. I got this game from the developer himself for free, and I really enjoyed playing it. The game scales in difficulty from the first level to the last level, and it has some thought-provoking puzzles. In addition to this, there is some content shared by the community which can be useful as well. A bonus point to the friendly developer Paul Demanze. 7/10 overall.
This game is great for people who like puzzles and problem solving game, but I would recommend to buy it on a sale!
Love it. Simple rules that create complex systems. The learning curve is nice and gradual. The levels are interesting and get challenging. Most importantly, there are many many levels, so lots of game play for pretty much free.
It's a good game, not the kind I usually play, but good nonetheless. It feels like something your 6th grade science teacher would let you play if you finished early in class. It's challenging, but not too challenging. Lots of fun puzzles that are all related, yet unique, it makes you feel like you're getting smarter along the way. The short, albeit still good story is good too! It tells the tragic story of a penguin who was separated from his family. A very simple story, yet very emotional. You want to help the penguin get back to it's family. I've played a decent bit of it, and I can say, yes, for $0.99 it is worth buying. Heck, I would probably pay $4.99 for it! I played this on a Twitch Stream, and everyone seemed to really like it. I really do think that the man who made this has a lot of potential as a game developer, and I'm interested to see what he makes next. If you're reading this, Great Job Paul! 9/10 I do recommend. (Edit: For some reason, all of my achievements are gone when I started it up on a new PC. Strange, you may want to check that out...)
Great game if you want to feel like a dum dum
