The Old House

The Old House is a short point-and-click horror experience that evokes a spooky atmosphere despite its simplicity. While the game's graphics and short runtime might remind some of a flash game, it does manage to create elements of dread and suspense. However, the gameplay is rather short and straightforward, only lasting 10 to 15 minutes. Particular areas such as the backyard, often requires you to click on every object in a scene in an attempt to progress as it is heavily pixelated to a point of clutter, and leaves it up to the imagination to differentiate. At its current length and complexity, The Old House feels more like a demo than a full game. While the low price point may be tempting, it is difficult to recommend when similar experiences can be found for free.

I was looking for similar games to Omori, and stumbled upon this game. Seeing that it was only about 50 cents, I decided to try it. Although this game was short, it was very interesting and the sound effects were really good, I ended with the dog like creature attacking me, and then the game reset. I am not sure if I just got one of the possible endings, or if there is only one ending? It's exciting being the first one to play a game, maybe if it becomes popular I'll have something to tell people. Thank you for this game, mysterious game developer.

I prefer my current house. While the atmosphere is damn good, the gameplay is annoying as hell... Yeah, I like the idea, but not the final implementation. Just for fun: I would love to see a demake like idk, for ZX Spectrum...

Minimalistyczna, krótka przygodówka przynajmniej z dwoma zakończeniami, które zobaczyłem. Fajny klimat i dźwięk, ale jest niestety pixel hunting, aczkolwiek łatwo się domyślić co może w danym miejscu być. Możliwe, ze zakończeń jest więcej, gdyż nie udało mi się dostać do dwóch miejsc. Ogólnie za niewiele ponad 2 zł, które zapłaciłem, warto.

Bietet für den Preis viel zu wenig. Neben der zweifarbigen Pixelgrafik, ist der Soundtrack nur ein Raunen. Atmosphäre kommt nicht auf bzw. ist bei der kurzen Spielzeit auch nicht möglich. Keine Errungenschaften, Steamkarten oder ein anderes Highlight. Kostenlos wäre der Titel als Zeitvertreib in Ordnung, aber für Geld nicht empfehlenswert.

Not bad and short horror adventure, interesting in its style too! can be hard to see thing at times (axe im looking at you).. but for the price I cant complain

Short cheap atmospheric little game, with an interesting stylistic choice. The sound desing is pretty convincing. I just got two endings but I know for sure there has to be at least a third one because I couldn´t open the chest...
