About
The Night Shift is a first-person horror game that brings the player into a world that progressively becomes a harrowing nightmare. No matter where you are in the store, your only means of defense is to not look away.
Will you last until the storm passes?
Congratulations! You have been accepted for a job at your local department store. A massive storm starts forming as you arrive for your first shift, before you can get settled, your manager gives you a list of tasks to complete before you can leave for the night. At the end of your first night, the storm rages on outside tripping the emergency shutters and trapping you at work.
With no sign of help and nothing but your wits and your flashlight, you need to mark off all your tasks so you can at least get paid. However as each night passes, you feel something isn't right. Something is watching you... Whatever it is, it moves in the dark.
Navigate through the spacious storefront, the claustrophobic service tunnels, and eerie employee-only rooms. Complete your tasks to make sure the store is looking perfect for when the store can reopen... and you can leave.
The mannequins only move when you're not watching. Turn away or look the wrong way, and they’ll be closer than before.
Each shift plays out differently, with randomized events and shifting pacing to keep players on edge.
Search the environment for tools, keys and other useful items that may aid your survival during the night.
Navigate from the store front to the backrooms and warehouse, uncovering new areas and environmental storytelling.
Each night brings subtle changes. Dirt and decay creep into once-clean spaces, and something unfamiliar begins to spread through the store’s forgotten corners.
Investigate cryptic clues, hidden rooms and narrative fragments that reveal the truth behind the mannequins and the store itself.
Stay immersed with a stripped-down interface that keeps your focus on the environment. No clutter, just tension.
The story branches at its climax, offering several possible outcomes depending on how you choose to face the end.
Built on dread, not cheap jumps. The horror escalates gradually, wrapping around you as the line between real and unreal dissolves.

The fact this game was created by a single developer and can scare you this much is incredible! I highly recommend everyone to play this! Please keep in mind there will be some bugs and some restarts, but nothing the dev won't acknowledge and fix in due time! The mannequins movement creeps me the hell out and truthfully the horror community needed a game like this! I cannot wait to see what more Red Spiral Studios does with horror games in the future!

The Night Shift is a great survival simulator with an amazing spooky vibe. From the minute you're dropped in there's a feeling of unease - it doesn't beat around the bush to tell you something ain't right. The DLC offers some resolve in the main story and was a fantastic addition. I highly recommend this game, developed by a one man team out of Brisbane Australia - RedSprialStudios - that are so involved with the communities that play, seeking constant feedback and making the improvements almost on the fly as it's provided. I am looking forward to seeing what comes next!!
Late Early Access Review
Press Play to Black Beatles by Rae Sremmurd and Gucci Mane and let's start the #MannequinChallenge
Introduction
Preliminary Evaluation of the game reveals a compelling blend of horror, puzzle-solving, and narrative elements. The review is based on gameplay experience since March 2024, during which the developers have implemented significant updates and improvements.
Development Progress
Since its Early Access release, the game has undergone substantial development, introducing several key features:

Comprehensive Tutorial system
Achievement System implementation
Eight Unique Shifts with distinct challenges
Seasonal Decorations enhancing atmosphere
New Environment Elements including eerie child mannequins and detailed corridors
Advanced Settings for graphics and sound customization

Technical Performance
While the game demonstrates impressive content updates, performance optimization remains an area for improvement. Current performance on modern hardware averages approximately 14 FPS even on low graphical settings. However, this does not significantly detract from the overall gameplay experience.
Gameplay Experience
The core gameplay mechanic presents a unique twist on traditional horror tropes. Unlike typical hiding mechanics, players must confront the supernatural elements directly to survive. The game’s atmosphere is particularly effective in its use of:

Immersive Darkness
Isolated Environments
Nighttime Operations
Stealth Mechanics
The game’s map design, while compact, encourages exploration and memorization, contributing to the overall sense of immersion.
Conclusion
The current state of the game represents a well-balanced combination of narrative-driven content, puzzle-solving mechanics, and atmospheric horror elements. Scheduled for full release in August 2025, the developers plan to introduce additional content and refinements. With 11 new achievements yet to be unlocked and further content updates anticipated, this review will be expanded upon completion of the full game experience. Despite minor technical limitations, the game offers a compelling and engaging horror experience that warrants attention from fans of the genre.
A spooky experience. It's less spooky when you figure out how to properly lock mannequins behind doors, but still pretty cool all the same.
Absolutely love this game. Creepy and gives some good jump scares. What more could you ask for?
HUGE props to RedSpiralStudios, made by only a single dev from Australia who is so invested in the community and is always looking for feedback to adjust or add to the game. Graphics are fantastic and story is amazing (blew my mind on the turn it took), and has replayability with multiple endings. Horror games dont usually tend to get to me easily but this had me feeling uneasy all the way through! A must play.
прикол в том что я в эту игру вообще не играл мне просто стим взломали и у меня эта игра как компенсация за моральный ущерб
While a bit buggy at places, and having to reload due to getting stuck a few times, the developer is fixing those bugs (even came by my stream and saw me experiencing them and instantly started working on fixing them). So the game itself? Really fun concept. I like that you have tons of things you can do that isn't specifically for the story but just for achievements and fits the tasks you'd do in that type of job. The visuals are also really nice, and great that it has some solid voice acting too. If you like mannequin horror games, this is definitely one of the better ones out there!
