The Musketeers: Victoria's Quest

[Edit] I never heard back, but I did figure out the issue for myself. I am able to play the game now, so I changed the review to "Yes". [Original] I actually really love this game, but it currently crashes just before the main menu loads and is unplayable. I purchased it 3 years ago and I have played it many times, but when I went to play it again a few days ago I ran into this issue. I have emailed them to see what the issue is (after going through all the usual trouble-shooting steps with Steam). If I hear back and the issue is resolved, I will happily change this review. In the meantime, don't waste your money on an unplayable game.

В отличие от других игр жанра эта игра считает, что шаг в сторону - попытка побега, прыжок на месте - попытка улететь. Чуть не то препятствие очистили, мискликнули на здание или не дай бог пошли не той дорогой - переигрывайте уровень. Ресурсов просто не хватит. А уровни долгие. И ещё задания не совпадают с тем, что нужно сделать на уровне. Нужно построить золотую шахту максимального уровня, но при этом накопить дерева и многие подобные вещи. Лучше обратите внимание на другие игры жанра - 12 подвигов Геракла, Моаи и прочая..

If you liked 12 labours of Hercules, then you will like this game. It's a twist on the 3 musketeers story, this time the 4th musketeer is a young woman. You battle your way through 45 levels. Every level starts off at your tent and you need to gather resources while also spending them trying to reach the end. The twist here is that sometimes you will have to restart because certain levels have to played in a very precise order because of how the resources are layed out. Another difference with 12 labours is that sometimes you will need to craft certain items in order to do certain tasks. For instance : wood and iron will make a weapon to defeat an enemy blocking your way. This adds to the difficulty of plotting the correct way through the maze. Another plus point is that you can turn of the time limit so you can play without that urge of being very fast all the time. Very entertaining, I spent more than half a day on this game.
