Reviews
At the time of this review only Chapter 1 is released, so that's what I'm basing my opinion on. Pros: - Promising story elements (hopefully subsequent chapters dive deeper into the plot) - A couple of creative and fun puzzles - Good use of sound effects which (usually) made me feel uneasy - Spooky statues Cons: - The environment is interesting for the first half of the chapter, but after that it becomes kinda repetitive. - A handful of the puzzles are very similar and lack challenge. - The monster which chases you in chapter 1 isn't very smart, it's too easy to hide from it. Overall, I feel like Chapter 1 was an average experience, but there is a lot of potential in this game. If the next chapters can step it up and take full advantage of that potential, this could be a fun and interesting experience. I have a full walkthrough and review video if you want to check it out: https://youtu.be/LN2q1ca3Yj8
Great start to the series! Loved the Beta and i'm glad I tried this out. Wasn't the scariest at first but toward the middle and end it got me. Won't spoil anything, but it gets really creepy. From the sound to the models. Good job, can't wait for the next chapter!
10 dk ya bitti. ilk başta fare işaretçisini göremiyorsunuz dikkatli bakın nokta kadar ozaman fark ediliyor.
Really enjoyable but simple horror game. Some of the puzzles are a little tricky, but still fun. I'm excited to see where this game goes with each new chapter. Check out my full Indie Impression: https://youtu.be/uLM3apqDjtM
A Session of Mourning #1 Having finished the first two chapters, what I can already say is, the game has some visible potential. It doesn't require much from it's player. You're just walking through the areas slightly being off light and trying to lit torches and candles, so you may see more. Unfortunately (for me), some cheap jumpscares are still included. Well, I couldn't demand them not to appear as the cost is low as well. I'm waiting for chapter 3 and more to see, whether or not, it will bring more good horror adventure or still cheap tricks. Not a bad game by far, tho. For this price, a pity not to try it.
One of the best indie horror games I played so far.. great environment, you feel the "horror" feeling just from the beautiful ambience I can't wait to see Chapter 2! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDauL3AMTzc&list=PL6JRtFEUiKTlIE_10KZdlr38rYy19l59i
The Morgue Fissure Between Worlds: So last night i got around to playing this game and i must say i was very surprised by how good i actually is. The game does what you expect but does not over do it. There are a few little jumpscares that made me back up from my screen but they do not scare you to a point of where your heart would stop and i LOVE that! Graphics are not bad either and do make you feel you're in a freaky place and the puzzles are not over the top hard either so all in all i would 100% recommend this game to people who like this Genre. + Overall feel of the game + The controls are fast and do what needs to be done. + Graphics are actually pretty good. + Jumpscares are present but not in a bad way and i personally love that. - An inventory or list/discription of what you pick up is not present and would be good to have. - Ending was a tad weird but i read that's being fixed. All i can say to the developers is, keep up the good work. Can't wait to see chapter 2 coming! My walktrough of Chapter 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvHPUh17Pos&t=712s
I am going to change my review, the first chapter seemed somewhat interesting but it is not as nearly as great as I first said. Chapter 1 seemed to have some potiential but a lot of issues I ignored such as no settings or collision and mediocre graphics, high sensitivity, etc. there really is no ui or any sort of options other than play the game and quit. But I could eventually forget those things overtime if they were going to be implemented later on, chapter 2 has been delayed for months and when it is finally released it has not amounted to much. All I saw was 5 minutes of a stupid over melodramatic story where you basically just walk the entire time. A huge disappointment. I would not buy.
It`s very bad. If there`s a save option I could not find it. The game is not intuitive; the font chosen for the few scattered notes that tell what little story there is is unreadable. You just won`t know what to do next. Don`t buy it.
Not being able to save a game and come back to it is an automatic thumbs down. Yeah, interesting graphics and a few interesting elements, but it's light on puzzles and did I mention that you can't save it? It's almost worth the 99 cents I paid for it. Update: Fatal flaw no. 2 is that the "puzzle" that opens the door to Chapter 2 is, for me, impossible. The puzzle, like all the rest (few as they are) is simplistic and obvious, but it turns out that not only must one figure out the order, one must be able to do it within an extremely short period of time. That makes it not a puzzle, but a test of manual dexterity. I've come across other such games made with this horrible Unity software, where the developer thinks it's amusing to make performing the solution to the puzzle nearly impossible. Please, developers, make solving the puzzle the hurdle, not whether one can move one's mouse quick enough. And even if I were able to get the solution performed, there's no way to save this game, so if I had to quit for a while, I'd have to suffer through the whole thing again. Another issue I have this Unity thing is that the little tiny dot with which you aim the cursor is all but invisible. Why is that necessary?
